The Suitors
My Thoughts...

 

This was my first attempt at a fan fiction. I figured I better start with a simple tale, the tale of a man who is convinced he is nothing, “just a pilot”, and how others manage to slowly convince him that he really is worthy of becoming the next king. There is no real antagonist here except for Keith’s mind.

As for the characters, I basically wanted to play off the sides of the characters that were rarely seen in the show. I wanted Keith to be unsure of himself. Yes he is the dashing hero soldier, but in his personal life he has no confidence in himself. I wanted Allura to be the strong one. Ready to live with the hand that life is dealing her. Nanny, well what can I say. Nanny as the hopeless romantic. I couldn’t resist. As for Coran... well, we get to see the sappy side of him.

What’s next…

I’m working on a short story for Christmas called ‘The Greatest Gift’ a Voltron adaptation of a story by the same name.

I am also working on another story arc, unrelated to ‘The Suitors’. It will take place during the war with Doom. Both Prince Lotor and Queen Merla will be in this story. The other Voltron team members will be much more active in the story. I also will be including some of the Vehicle Voltron team characters as well. This story will be taking a much darker path. Don’t worry it’s still loaded with romance and sap, but it will be much more bittersweet. And, of course, I will be incorporating all of my Pre Raphaelite art into this new story.
