"woodrow wilson slept HERE"
Every town seems to claim that either George Washington or Abraham Lincoln SLEPT HERE.   Colorado Springs was not yet founded during the lives of George & Abe but we do have the distinction of having Woodrow Wilson not only sleeping but RESIDING for a summer in the Springs.  He served as a visiting professor at Colorado College and spent the summer in his cousin's home on North Weber.  Wilson served as President of Princeton University prior to his election to the Presidency.
How much is that doggie in the window?
This lab was seen in a Wahsatch window recently.  He seemed to be barking at the Totem Pole in his window perch. Was he summoning the spirits of dogs past or entreating the totem to release him from the box?
ET, phone home!!!!!!
I was a little disappointed at the poor resolution of this photo but was tickled one quiet Sunday morning as I ambled around downtown on my bike.  The bike on this display appears to be soaring over Pikes Peak ala the movie, E.T.
It actually marks the location of Chris Carmichael's Training center. Chris is Lance Armstrong's personal trainer along with many, many other professional athletes like Saku Koivu.  The illusion appears just off the Colorado overpass.
"ATTACK OF THE TRANSMISSION ANTS"
Now showing in Manitou Springs.....
Picnic, anyone???This imposing Grand Avenue mansion welcomes its guests with an army of killer transmission ants.  The inset photo gives a better idea of their appearance. All in all Manitou's Grand Avenue is flanked by weirdness.
Manitou Springs scant parking may make it one of the few cities that has been endowed by benefactors with a Memorial Free Parking Lot .  This, by the way, is NOT it.
HEY KIDS! Who's our FRIEND in the garden chair on West Bijou St??? Of course, it's
