WHAT IN THE WORLD IS INITIAL D?
Basically it is an anime about drifting. The anime/manga revolves around 18-year old Takumi Fujiwara, who delivers tofu for his father since 12 in his AE86 Trueno and race downhill races in the night at Mt. Akina. One night he run into a Mazda RX-7 driven by Keisuke Takahashi and overtaken him. One day Keisuke challenges him to a race which coincidentally happened after Iketani, one of Takumi's friend whom he worked with part-time at a petrol station, is injured in an accident while practising at Mt. Akina. And then everything started from there.......
WHAT DOES IT HAVE TO DO WITH DRIFTING?
Obviously, the whole show is mostly about drifting (with romance, conflicts and so on.....).
