Buffy woke to find herself at home in bed. She smiled and stretched. Home hers and Angelus'. Angelus was laying there sleeping. Buffy slowly got out of bed and paused. She sighed as wave of dizziness washed over her. So far that was the only thing she was suffering from. When the dizziness was gone she went and showered.

After dressing in a pale blue sundress Buffy hurried down to the kitchen. Stepping into the kitchen she found Faith sitting there eating a sandwich.

Buffy stared, "Faith what the hell?"

Faith looked up and grinned, "Hey B. Been awhile I know."

Buffy nodded, "Yeah. So what are you doing in my kitchen?"

Faith shrugged, "Spike asked me to stay here since the hotel sort of burned down when some demons attacked other demons that were staying there."

Buffy frowning, "Why in Sunnydale and does Giles know?"

Faith shrugged, "He knows. The WC sent me said something big was happening here. Guess you marrying the Scourge of Europe might be it cause so far it's been sort of quiet."

Buffy walked over to the fridge, "Oh so now you work for the Watcher's Council, how nice. Here to spy on me?"

Faith shook her head, "Hey B no. Look they grabbed me in Texas after I left here kept me in New York locked up for a year. Now I go where they tell me. And I am getting tired of answering to them. So I think the time has come to be a bad girl and ignore them."

Buffy sighed, "Whatever but just watch yourself."

Faith nodded, "Will do."

Buffy frowned as she got the milk out of the fridge, "Spike so is anything happened between the two of you?"

Faith laughed, "Do you even have to ask he is a hottie."

Buffy laughed as she poured a glass of milk, "Oh Faith he must not have know or you either. Or did you guys take precautions?"

Faith frowned, "Why he's a vamp and can't make babies and as you know we Slayers can't either."

Buffy sat down and stared right at Faith, "Oh but Faith, Slayers can have babies. That is if they have sex with a powerful master vampire. I would say Spike would qualify since he is Angelus' grand-childe and second in command around here."

The look of sheer surprise on Faith's face made Buffy laugh. She picked up her glass of milk and took several sips. Faith eyed her suspiciously.

Faith put down her sandwich, "You better be lying B cause I don't want no baby."

Buffy shrugged, "I am going to have a baby and Angelus is the Father."

Faith jumped up, "Damn...Damn....Damn."

Angelus stepped into the kitchen, "Morning girls."

Faith stopped and stared. So this was Angelus. He stood there bare chested, wearing black sweats and no shoes. Hair mussed slightly.

Buffy turned and smiled, "Hi sweetie."

Angelus went over and kissed Buffy, "Hey baby."

He turned to Faith, "So you are Faith. I can so see why Spike was attracted to you. Welcome to my humble abode."

Faith nodded, "Thanks."

Buffy giggled, "I just told her about Slayers and Master Vampires and babies. She didn't know. Did Spike?"

Angelus smirked, "Not until I told him last night."

Faith stomped around, "Great just what I so don't need is a baby."

Angelus shrugged, "If it happens accept it. Life is too precious to just throw away."

Faith stared at Angelus and laughed, "I can't believe that I heard that out of the mouth of the one and only Angelus."

Angelus shrugged, "I've changed and for the better I think."

Faith shook her head, "I guess. Look gotta go find me a certain bleached, blonde vampire. See you two later."

Faith turned and hurried out of the kitchen. Buffy smiled at Angelus. He gave her his half smile and winked.

Part 44

Faith found Spike laying back in bed staring up at the ceiling. He looked her way when she came into the room. She began pacing in front of the bed.

Spike frowned, "So what's up Pet?"

Faith stopped for a moment, "Talked with Buffy she told me about vampires, slayers and babies. You honestly didn't know?"

Spike swung his legs off the bed and stood up, "No. I mean if Angelus mentioned it I might not have paid much attention. That over grown fucker is always coming up with ideas and schemes based on prophecies and other such rot."

Faith shook her head, "Man I so do not want or need a baby."

Spike shrugged, "What's the problem with that?"

Faith folded her arms, "My Mother was a drunken whore. Beat me when sober. Never knew my Dad. Don't even know the bastard's name. I don't want to end up like her, dead in bed from choking on vomit and too many drugs and booze."

Spike put his hands on her shoulder's, "Look I know it was rough. But since I have known you I have seen you drink four beers and one glass of wine. No drugs at all. You will be a good Mother and you know why? Cause you have seen what a bad Mother is like."

Faith sighed, "Also I am a Slayer. What would happen to the kid if something happened to me?"

Spike grinned, "Well the kid would have me."

Faith shook her head, "Man the kid would be so fucked up with parents like us. I just don't think it'd be such a good idea."

Spike frowned, "It's more than the fears you told me. I bet you're just plain afraid of being pregnant and giving birth of the whole process."

Faith walked away from him, "Maybe but I don't know. And the WC will have a fit."

Spike grinned, "They are going to have a fit no matter what you do. Look if we have mixed together the right recipe for baby batter we'll accept it and plan ahead for when the bun pops out of the oven."

Faith laughed, "Spike you make it sound so simple."

Spike shrugged, "Hey if Angelus and Buffy can do go through with it I see no reason why we can't."

Faith sighed, "I guess but they planned it we didn't."

Spike laughed, "Now tell me how many babies have actually been planned?"

Faith nodded, "Yeah. Look until I know for sure no sex."

Spike stared at her, "No sex are you crazy? Look I'll get some condoms how would that be?"

Faith laughed, "OK I guess a little like shutting the barn door after the cows got away though."

Spike grinned, "Yeah what ever."

Spike went over and took Faith in his arms. She sighed and laid her head on his shoulder as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

Part 45

A few days later...Faith wiggled the door knob with frustration. She banged on the door frame. Faith stepped back and stared at the damn door leading to Angelus' library/office.

"You won't be able to open it."

Faith spun around and saw Angelus standing there, "Oh I was wanting something to read."

Angelus chuckled, "Faith I wasn't born yesterday so can it. The door is locked by magic not a key. If you were to break through the spell you'd not like what would happen."

Faith shook her head and grinned, "Ah I see you don't trust anyone."

Angelus smirked, "I trust Buffy she is the only one other than me who can open that door."

Faith grinned, "Oh. Fine."

In a deep, deadly voice Angelus spoke, "Faith a fair warning do not spy on me, Buffy or anyone else in Sunnydale. Don't work both sides like you did before. This time you won't get a warning you'll simply disappear. You are only here because of Spike. Don't mess with me little girl because you'll not like the outcome. So if you're here just to cause trouble for any of us I suggest you get out of town and fast."

Faith nodded, "Gotcha."

Angelus leaned close to her, "You better have or else."

Faith saw the flash of amber in his eyes and something else something much more dangerous. Faith backed up turned and fled down the hallway.

Angelus chuckled softly before going into his office.

Faith went outside to the side garden and sat down. She was shaking from her encounter with Angelus. The power that came from him was like nothing she'd ever run across before.

Buffy walked and sat down next to Faith on the marble bench, "He means it Faith."

Faith looked at Buffy, "So he told you?"

Buffy smiled, "No I was just around the corner. Look if you don't believe him you're a fool. If you don't think he'll harm you then you will end up in a whole lot of hurt. You got a second chance here Faith. One with us we can protect you from the Watcher's Council. Spike really does like you."

Faith shrugged, "Don't worry when it comes to Angelus I believe every word he said. How can you stand being around such a powerful creature?"

Buffy shrugged, "It makes me feel good being with him. I feel stronger I think I have acquired some of that power since our bonding."

Faith sighed, "Probably."

Buffy grinned, "Yeah. I just came from the doctor's. So far everything looks good for me and the baby. Do you think you might be pregnant?"

Faith shrugged, "Not sure yet I am due for my period soon so we'll see."

Buffy sighed, "I can actually feel the baby growing in me if I concentrate real hard. It's weird because I know that isn't normal."

Faith laughed, "Buffy you aint normal and the Daddy is even less normal than you. At least you have a heartbeat.

Buffy giggled, "True so true."

Faith stood up, "I'm going to go take a nap didn't sleep very well last night so see you later."

Buffy smiled, "Have dinner with me at 6."

Faith nodded, "Sure I'll be there."

Buffy watched as Faith hurried into the mansion. She reached down and gently patted her stomach area. Standing up she went inside to talk to Angelus. On her way to the library she stepped into the kitchen briefly. She informed the cook to fix enough dinner for her and Faith.

Part 46

Buffy was busy sorting through a few boxes her Mother had sent over when Faith walked in. Buffy glanced at the brunette.

Buffy: "So why the frown?"

Faith plopped down on a near by chair, "I'm pregnant."

Buffy almost giggled, "Oh, Faith it isn't the end of the world."

Faith shrugged, "Yeah right."

Buffy gently patted the bulge that was emerging on her stomach, "I feel great. The best I have for years. So full of energy or something."

Faith sighed, "We'll see."

One of the demons who served as staff quietly entered the room, "Mr. Giles is here to see you."

Buffy frowned, "Bring him in here."

The demon bowed and left the room. A few minutes later Giles came into the room. He looked very worried.

Buffy: "Giles what's wrong?"

Giles took off his glasses, "The Watcher's Council is coming to Sunnydale. They called and asked me if you were coping. I told them you were fine. But when I asked why they wanted to know they just responded that they were coming here."

Buffy glanced at Faith, "Did you say anything to them?"

Faith snorted, "No I didn't. Hell the last time I talked to them they were not very friendly. They weren't happy when I told them all was good around here."

Buffy nodded, "When was the last time you talked to them?"

Faith sighed, "The day before you and Angelus got back."

Giles put his glasses back on, "Did you mention Buffy and Angelus?"

Faith shook her head, "No."

Giles frowned, "Is there by any chance anyone else here on their orders?"

Faith shrugged, "If there is I have no idea who."

Buffy went to the doorway, "I am going to go talk to Angelus let him know what is going on."

Faith and Giles watched her as she left the room. Faith looked up at Giles.

Faith sighed, "Look I swear I have not said a word to the WC about anything going on here in Sunnydale. Hell I am living here with Angelus' permission because of Spike. And let me tell you Angelus is one vampire I don't want mad at me."

Giles nodded, "Good. So how are things here?"

Faith smiled a little, "Actually if one didn't know what Angelus, Spike and the other demons were they'd think it was a fairly normal family with servants."

Giles smiled, "Rather interesting. And you? How are you doing? You seem a little pale."

Faith looked down at her fingernails, "Spike didn't know and neither did I. I just had it confirmed that I am going to have a baby and guess what Spike is the daddy."

Giles stared in shock at Faith, "Spike didn't know?"

Faith shook her head, "Nope, Angelus didn't fill him in on a few things."

Giles sat down and shook his head, "Oh dear, Oh my."

Faith closed her eyes, "You got that right."

Buffy found Angelus coming out of the bathroom. He had just showered and was drying off. She admired his nude body as he finished what he was doing. He glanced at her and smiled.

Angelus: "Is there something wrong? I get a feeling of worry from you."

Buffy sighed, "Yep lots to worry about. First Faith is going to have Spike's baby. Second the Watcher's Council is on it's way here for some reason."

Angelus pulled his pants on, "Faith with a baby, and Spike this should be interesting. Not too surprised about the Council though been expecting them to show."

Buffy went over to him and began buttoning the shirt he'd just slipped on, "Same here."

Angelus smiled at her, "Everything will be ok. I promise."

Buffy looked up at him and smiled slightly. Angelus took her into his arms and held her. She sighed and wrapped her arms around him.

Part 47

Giles glanced up when the bell over the door chimed. He frowned there stood Quentin Travers and his lackeys. Giles put the inventory sheet he as reading into the drawer, making sure it was shut.

Giles with a fake smile, "So Travers I see your trip was successful."

Travers smiled, "Good to see you too Giles."

Giles nodded slightly as he came around the counter, "So what exactly do you want?"

Travers frowned, "I understand that Miss. Summers is with child. We are here to take her to England where she'll get the best treatment and to help with the trauma caused by being raped by a vampire."

Giles stared at the group in front of him, "Buffy is doing just fine. As for England I wouldn't recommend trying to take her from Sunnydale it could prove fatal to anyone who tried."

Travers raised his eyebrows, "Oh and why is that?"

Giles got a cold closed off look to his face, "I need to speak to Buffy before I say anything else to you."

Travers shrugged, "Go ahead and call her. Arrange a meeting with her."

Giles nodded, "Will do."

Giles picked up the phone and quickly called Buffy.

Giles to Buffy when answered, "They are here. They know about the baby but nothing else. Want to meet with you."

Buffy to Giles: "Bring them here we will be ready."

Giles smiled almost, "Will do Buffy."

Giles hung up the phone and turned to Travers: "Buffy wants us to come to her home. She wants to meet with you also."

Travers smiled, "Ah good she is being sensible about things good to see."

Giles nodded, "Come you can go with me in my car your ah associates can follow."

Travers followed Giles out to his car, "Nice car Giles must be doing good for yourself."

Giles chuckled, "Not doing too bad."

The two men got into the car. Giles quickly started the car and took off. The lackeys could barely keep up.

Part 48

Travers was a bit surprised when Giles pulled up in front a huge old mansion. He glanced over at Giles with a frown on his face.

Travers: "Miss Summers lives here?"

Giles smiled, "Yes she is being well taken care of."

Travers nodded and got out of the car. He watched as Giles went up to the front door. One of his lackeys walked up. He shrugged his shoulders.

Travers in a whisper, "Find out what you can about this place."

The lackey nodded and went back to his companions. Travers joined Giles at the door as it swung open. Standing there was Spike with a small smile.

Spike: "Giles please come on in."

Giles led Travers into the large front room of the mansion. Travers looked around. Black leather couch and chairs grouped around the fireplace. Deep red velvet curtains on the windows. Elegant Persian rugs were scattered around the room. Art work and statues were tastefully displayed. He could tell that a lot of money had been spent on this room alone. It made him wonder what the rest of the place was like.

Buffy came into the room. Travers stared at her. She seemed to almost glow. Her figure was fuller, lush was what he thought. She was wearing a pale pink cotton sundress.

Behind her stepped a tall, dark haired man. Travers gasped as the two came into full view. It was Angelus. Travers took a deep breath.

Angelus smirked, "Travers its been a long time old "friend"."

Travers nodded, "So are you the vampire who took advantage of Miss Summers? If so I am surprised not your usual mode of operation concerning Slayers."

Angelus chuckled, "I did not take advantage of Buffy. She gave herself to me willingly. She wanted a child and found out how. I was more than happy to oblige her."

Travers turned to Giles, "You allowed this to happen?"

Giles shrugged, "I found out after Angelus came to town."

Travers nodded, "I see. Not very vigilant of you not knowing what your Slayer was planning."

Giles smiled, "She is an adult and has a mind of her own."

Travers sighed and turned to Buffy, "This child cannot be born it is against our policy. You must come with us to England."

Angelus put his arm protectively around Buffy, "She goes no where. This child is going to be born."

Travers shook his head, "We will take her despite what you say or do."

Angelus smirked, "Travers she is my wife we went through the binding ritual. Kill me she dies. Harm us in anyway and you and the Watcher's Council will truly find out what hell on earth means. I have made sure that revenge will be a long, painful process. Oh and to let you know that I am serious, your wife Margie and daughter Penny are now in the hands of some friends of mine."

Travers paled, "How dare you."

Angelus smiled, "Leave Sunnydale and forget all about Buffy and oh yeah Faith is also under my protection. Spike has taken her to be his mate."

Travers glanced around the room. Behind him was Faith and the blonde that had opened the door. Spike.. William the Bloody.

Travers sighed, "I am leaving but the matter is not closed. All of you have gone against everything the Council holds sacred. Giles I am disappointed in you, yet again. You were always a loose cannon."

Giles smiled, "I never wanted to be a Watcher it was forced upon me."

Travers turned to Buffy, "Miss Summers I am hurt and disappointed in you the most. Such potential you have done so much good to just turn your back on your duty."

Buffy shrugged, "I was so young and innocent when called. I missed out on so much as a teenager. Now as an adult I want to have a life and that means a man to love and children. I have found the one man who is my equal. And yes to me Angelus is a man I do not see the demon that dwells inside of him. Maybe I have found the one way to truly end his evil ways and that is with love. Go from here and do not cause trouble for us it can only end in tragedy for you and the Council."

Travers smiled slightly, "So you can speak. I will think about what you have said. I am not the only one with the Council who will want to take action. My time as head of the Council is coming to an end. My advice is to be very careful."

Travers turned to Giles, "I am ready to leave."

Giles nodded, "Of course I will take you to your hotel."

Spike showed them to the door.

Part 49

Buffy was just finishing her second piece of chocolate cake. Angelus came into the kitchen and chuckled.

Buffy swallowed, "What's so funny?"

Angelus with a smirk, "I was right you are an eating machine."

Buffy nodded and took a drink of her milk, "Yep. I just ate three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and a green salad and rolls."

Angelus shook his head, "Does Faith eat as much?"

Buffy smiled, "Yes. She was just here. I think she went to take a nap."

Spike came into the room, "Giles is here."

Buffy stood up with Angelus' help. Angelus bent down and kissed her very large round tummy. Buffy giggled a little. Angelus closed his eyes he could hear the baby's heartbeat.

Buffy sighed, "Giles is waiting for us."

Angelus nodded as he straightened up, "Yeah."

They went into the front room and found Giles standing by the fireplace. He was reading through some papers he was holding. Giles looked up when Angelus and Buffy came into the room.

Angelus helped Buffy sit down, "So what's wrong?"

Giles smiled, "Nothing I just found out some rather interesting things and though I'd share them with you."

Buffy sighed, "What about?"

Giles shrugged, "When you told me about Aurora and Sabin it triggered a memory of my Grandmother telling me stories about Slayers. I called and talked to my sister and she sent me Grandmother's journals and files. I have been reading through them."

Angelus sat next to Buffy, "What have you found anything about Slayers and babies?"

Giles nodded, "Yes. As you know Sabin took the child and disappeared. He ended up in Scotland and raised his son there. At eighteen his son left and went to England. Don't know what happened to Sabin but his son Antonio went to the Watcher's Council and worked with them for several years. He married the sister of a Slayer. Acted as the girl's Watcher even when her Watcher died. When the Slayer died Antonio and his wife Beth went back to Scotland. He translated many of the old journals and papers written by Watcher's, prophets and others for the Council. He died a very old man."

Buffy sighed, "That's good to know."

Giles smiled, "Yes well, it seems that he and Beth had several children. One of them a girl who married the son of a Watcher. Buffy if my research is correct you are descended from this girl. Her name was Anna."

Buffy stared at him, "Wow. So I have vampire in my blood."

Angelus frowned, "Makes sense It would explain why she is such a powerful Slayer. Also it would explain the magic I sensed and tasted."

Buffy frowned and rubbed her belly, "Will it effect my baby?"

Giles sighed, "I doubt it very much since so many generations have come and gone."

Buffy smiled, "Good."

Angelus took Buffy's hand, "Don't worry sweetheart all will be fine."

Giles nodded, "Yes. Well, I just thought I'd let you know what I found out. So how are you doing?"

Buffy grinned, "Good and growing."

Angelus grinned, "You should see her eat."

Giles laughed, "I can only imagine. And Faith how is she doing?"

Buffy smiled, "She is good too and she can put the food away too. I went to the doctor today and she said all is fine and that I don't have much longer to go."

Giles sighed, "Good to hear that."

Angelus stood up, "Besides her medical doctor I will be there as will a friend of mine who will see to it that nothing goes wrong. He is a very powerful mage."

Giles nodded, "Good idea to have him there. One can never tell what might happen. Well, I need to go I will talk to you later."

Angelus escorted Giles to the door, "Thanks for coming by and telling us what you found out. Its good to know in case it ends up being a factor which I doubt very much."

Giles sighed, "Same here it just explained a few things about Buffy as a Slayer. Why she is so powerful. Being descended from a vampire and Slayers has made her a stronger Slayer. Well, later."

Angelus shut the door behind Giles. He went and joined Buffy. They sat and held hands both talking softly about the baby.

Part 50

Buffy lay propped up against some pillows. She sighed as another contraction hit her. Angelus held her hand. He grimaced slightly from the pain when she squeezed it. The doctor came into the delivery room.

"Let me see how things are going?"

Buffy watched as he examined her, "So what's the verdict?"

The doctor smiled, "I would say within the hour."

Angelus sighed, "Good."

Twenty minutes later. Activity in the delivery room had increased. Buffy was pushing and panting. Angelus stood clutching her hand.

Finally the doctor told Buffy, "One more push I see the head."

Buffy yelled as the baby finally came into the world. A loud crying was heard. Angelus stared in awe at Buffy.

Doctor, "Care to cut the cord?"

Angelus turned and nodded, "Yeah, sure."

Carefully Angelus cut where the doctor showed him. The doctor handed the baby to the nurse. She put a blanket around it.

Nurse as she handed the baby to Buffy, "Here's your son and he is a handsome one."

Buffy took the baby and gazed at his face. She looked up at Angelus and grinned, "He's gorgeous."

Angelus was speechless as he stared at his son. He could only nod in agreement.

A little later Angelus held his son as Buffy slept. Softly Angelus spoke to him, "Ah you are a fine boy Joseph."

The baby yawned and closed his eyes. He slowly drifted off to sleep. Angelus gently rocked his son.

A few days later Buffy sat and nursed her son in the nursery they had prepared for him. Angelus watched from the door. To him it was the most beautiful sight he'd ever seen.

Looking up Buffy smiled, "He's a hungry little fella."

Angelus grinned, "Takes after his Mother."

Buffy sighed, "I guess."

Angelus went over to her, "You are still tired I can tell."

Buffy shrugged, "Doesn't matter he is well worth it. No regrets?"

Angelus knelt down next to her, "None the two of you is all I need in life. I do not regret giving up my old habits. I love you so much Buffy."

Buffy reached over and gently ran her fingers along his cheek, "I love you Angelus."

The baby finished his meal. Angelus took him from Buffy, "Go take a nap I'll look after him."

Buffy stood up, "That sounds like a very good idea."

Angelus gave Buffy a quick kiss before she left the room. Looking at his son Angelus smiled.

Epilog

Buffy laughed as she watched Joseph toss the ball to his Daddy. He was three now and very strong for his age. Buffy glanced down at her daughter of two months, Bianca was a gorgeous baby and so quiet. Joseph had been a crier the first few months.

Faith came into the room followed by her daughter. Cassy had come screaming into the world three weeks early giving everyone a fright. Buffy smiled as she remembered Spike actually fainting as he saw the baby's head emerge. Spike still was insisting he didn't faint. That he'd slipped and fell.

Spike walked into the room, "There's my girls."

Faith turned and smiled, "Found us."

Angelus smiled as he watched his family. Buffy looked over at him and grinned she could feel his happiness.
