| *A poem not named desire where no top girl is waiting for things to fall apart* BSH told me that I am like Iago I still dont understand how Is it because of my hypocrisy? Or are we talking about my manipulative character? I agree that Im like Marlene A ball breaker Ready to sacrifice everything For success Psycho told me that I am like V and E. Passing the time on the second floor at school Looking absent mindedly at the scenery Keeping the conversation alive Are things falling apart? I certainly dont want them to I want to be a girl on top of everything and everyone Dont forget: be spontaneous, Be yourself says Blake If you look like an innocent flower And are a snake in reality Youll only end up like Lady Macbeth I believe this poem requires explanation. Its a sort of parody of my literature texts. The title: mixture of some titles of books I study. A streetcar named desire by Tenessee Williams is the only one in the title thats not mentioned in the poem. The first stanza features Iago from Othello by Shakespeare. Watch O, Josh Hartnett plays Iago [Hugo in the movie] in it. BSH is the bsh runaway, one of my best friends. Marlene is from Top Girls by Caryll Churchill. She abandoned her kid to her sister of the working class and is now a manager. Third stanza: V&E are Vladimir and Estragon from Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett. Great book, except if you are not studying it. Lol, I have to put up Luckys tirade one day. Its worse than Chaucers English. Fourth: Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe and again Top girls. Last stanza: William Blake, I study his songs of innocence and of experience. Then theres Macbeth by Shakespeare. The right quote is look like the innocent flower/but be the serpent undert Lady Macbeth committed suicide. Next / Poems |
