Where do we jump?

British Parachute School in Langar is based in the scenic Vale of Belvoir, 12 miles South East of Nottingham at Langar Airfield. Built as a bomber base in World War II, the Airfield is now used exclusively by the Parachute School with a variety of jumpships including a turbine powered LET 410 and resident Cessna Grand Caravan, Pilatus Porter, and Cessna 206. Covering some 1,750,000 square metres, Langar is one of the largest civilian Drop Zones in the country.
BPS Langar is a full-time school with training and jumping continuing all year-round. It is open seven days a week, every day of the year (except Christmas Day!). It has unlimited altitude, no other aircraft activities and no air traffic problems. Pilots and instructors are always present on the airfield, keen to get you jumping. The staff will help you progress in the sport, providing complete training from BPA Category 1 (Beginner) to Category 8 (Qualified Solo Skydiver), and on to Formation Skydiving, Freeflying, Skysurfing and all other modern disciplines.
British Parachute Schools has been operating at Langar since 1977. Jumpers make a combined total of more than 21,000 jumps each year - by British Parachute Association (BPA) statistics, it is the UK's busiest dropzone.
