| Out to make a difference in 2005, two former Warriors Kevin Campion defensive coach (left)
and Ivan Cleary assistant coach (right) have hooked up with head coach Tony Kemp. The 2005 Vodafone New Zealand Warriors rugby league team are bolstered by new recruits Rueben Wiki, prop Steve Price, Nathan Fien and Todd Byrne. Three players have 200-plus NRL appearances � Rueben Wiki (225), Steve Price (222) and halfback Stacey Jones (215) - Awen Guttenbeil has 124 games. Clinton Toopi (97), Wairangi Koopu (92), Nathan Fien (91), Francis Meli (89), Richard Villasanti (89), Tony Martin (87) and Monty Betham (85) are all poised to reach the 100-match milestone during the 2005 season. 11 players from the baggage of 2004 have been ditched. The Warriors have retained a number of development players , including 8 Junior Kiwis and players who have come through the Barter card. |
