Bill's Bio
Growing up in a musical family, Bill developed a keen ear for quality in his music. When, as a 12-year-old, he was given a drum set by his brother, he took to heart the advice of his elder: "Don't just mess around-WORK at it!" Work he did, and the result was a player with that rare combination of technique and emotion. While as a youngster, Bill enjoyed show tunes and marches, he fell victim to what inevitably affected most of his generation: hard rock. He did, however, always love bands with a blues base to their sound, and with exposure developed a deep love for authentic blues. Although he has performed in genres of music from musical pit bands, wind-ensembles, a country gig or two, to some hard rock jams, his love for the blues is unquestioned. In truth, Bill's greatest musical love is for jazz, which is readily evident in his playing style.
