Welcome to the SkyBlues Band Home Page!
The SkyBlues Band hails from the upper Mississippi River Region in the Midwest. We play an eclectic array of styles spanning the blues genre, including blues rock, jump and swing, while remaining firmly entrenched in a true Chicago blues style. Our songs include covers, both old & new, plus a healty dose of originals. Since the mid-1990s we've played a variety of venues throught the upper midwest, ranging from bars and clubs to festivals, sharing the stage with artists ranging from Shannon Curfman to Black Oak Arkansas. In the summer of 2004 we undertook a highly successful trip to Europe, playing in Sweden and Denmark.
With the "retirement" of Keri Van Dyke, we'd like to welcome Hannah Meachum on vocals and keyboard. Hannah already has a solo CD of her own, and we're excited about the potential she brings to the band. The rest of the band consists of Christin Mohr on vocals & sax, Nicole Walther on guitar & vocals, Steve Johnson on guitar, Micahel Walther on bass & vocals, and Bill Mohn on drums. We are in the process of re-shaping our entire show, and we're excited! We still hope to record a CD in the coming months, and we hope you like the "new" Skyblues Band!
