The 2nd and 3rd assignments--for "Of Mice and Men" and "Death of a Salesman"--are due at the end of September and October, respectively. Assignment questions online at: " http://www.geocities.com/skyblue_csia/CR060707.html" Part I -- 5 questions (same questions for each of the three books) Part II -- 2 additional questions (for the final, joint assignment) In summary: There are three, individual assessments of your comprehension of these readings (one for each of the three books, by Fitzgerald, Steinbeck, and Miller); plus: one more joint, comparative assignment, i.e. four assessments, in total... Assignments 3 (Miller) and 4 (the comparison) are both due at the end of October. The four assignments are to be evaluated separately--one by each of four teachers: Johnson, Gabb, Allen and Donkin--in that order. Johnson will assess the "Gatsby" assignment. (Evaluation standard: SAT-1 Writing style rubric) Best idea: Read 5 to 10 pages a day and keep a reading journal. Be sure to make entries in your reading journal at the time of each daily reading. From these notes you may easily address the issues raised in the assignment. Be sure to itemize (number) those issues, and respond to each question, one-by-one. The assignment is also available at the Moogle site set up by Mr. Namowicz: The Critical Reading " Resource, " web link, there Prep for " Things Fall Apart" Who has " a copy of the book, " these days?
