Responsible for drawing up the range and terms of the Research Paper; for preparing parameters; submitting administrative paperwork; and for grading the Term Paper


II) Topic: Individual Preference / Completely Open (3 to 5 pages):

Students may opt to write on any topic, any issue, from any subject—even related to one’s group Research-Project; or you may write on (hand-in) an assignment that is due for another teacher , another course subject.

SAT-1 Essay-type Assessment

* Internal Content:

Be Insightful, Effective--presenting pros AND cons; effectively articulating the opposing view, the objections--with supportive, logic, evidence, and/or anecdotes. In the conclusion: answer to your own satisfaction the question, "So what?" (See "Planning and Invention Sheet" handout)

Grammar and style: Concise; forceful; polished with good diction, detail, and flair. While every error in grammar and style may not be penalized, do note that : poor execution of

The above four referencing challenges, may warrant deduction of points.



Note: Term paper must have at least 2 book references, 2 Newspaper/Magazine references, and 2 website references ( for a total of AT LEAST (not less than) 6 required references—properly formatted).

As we may not have in the library the books and periodicals you need, you may either 1) reference books available in the collections of your friends, collections at home, in the collections assembled in other private and public libraries; or 2) you may reference--through Amazon.com, for example--books and materials that your would like the school to order for the library. In case of the latter, you should pick up the order form from the librarian. Leave your good mark on our school, thereby.
