Weapons of the Dark Millenium
The roleplaying genre centers
around two things. Taking the role of a character and making him behave in a
way that befits your concept, speaking for him and having him do courageous
skill checks is the first thing. The second thing is killing and or maiming
stuff. Whether you’re fighting off Tyranids, hunting down rebels or are a
hunted down rebel resisting Imperial forces as a GM you’ll find your players
will want to get into action and as a player you’ll find your hero looking to
improve his combat effectiveness to survive longer in this dark universe.
Well there’s no better place to
start than with guns and swords. This chapter deals with the vast array of
weapons available for killing and maiming things in the Dark Millenium. This
chapter is divided into three sections. In the first I deal with common
Imperial ranged weapons. In the second I deal with common Imperial melee
weapons. The third section covers ammunition and universal weapon gadgets. The
final section is special. The Warhammer 40,000 tabletop battle game provides a
dozen different armies each with many weapons at their arsenal. For this reason
I do not have the space cover all the weapons here. However the final section
provides you with rules for converting weapon statistics into d20 Modern
statistics.
MELEE
WEAPONS
Personal close combat weapons are extremely popular in the Dark Millenium. This
section is devoted to both old-fashioned simple weapons and newer advanced
melee weapon technology.
This section covers all ranged
weapons from Simple Ranged Weapons (like bows), to personal firearms (like
autoguns) to special firearms (like plasma guns).
This section discusses the
different kinds of ammunition types and ammunition modifications exist as well
as full weapon modifications.
Couldn’t find a weapon? No rules
for gauss rifles? This section has an easy way to convert your favourite
weapons from the Warhammer 40,000 Tabletop Battlegame to d20 Warhammer 40,000
the RPG.
