Las Leñas is a fantastic ski area isolated in the Andes mountain range in Western Argentina, close to the border of Chile. It is in the famous wine growing region, the province of Mendoza.

WOW!! This is how much it can snow here.  This is August 2001 and we had to keep digging out this lift for the rest of the season, every time it snowed or the wind blew. It was epic skiing when they were able to open.
