Aminogenesis is a rather unique skin care line that has made its name on using a broad range of amino acid proteins to fight the aging process. While the scientific basis for the use the proteins topically on the skin is just now gaining traction, many reviewers of this line have found their products to be effective in achieving anti-aging and skin enhancing results. There have also heard reports that those with certain unique conditions such as fibromyalgia (which isn't really a skin disease but does affect the skin), have responded particularly well to this line.
The most popular product in the Aminogenesis line is their signature Photolagen, and despite not having any actual sunscreen or effect on hyperpigmentation (as the 'photo' part of the name would lead one to believe) this line has performed well on other skin aging concerns such as wrinkles and inflammation/redness. This particular product retails at $89, but comes in a 2oz bottle which lasts twice as long as the typical 1oz skin care product. Points were taken off from the Anti-Aging Rating, however, because many of their formulas come in jars and not pump bottles (which after repeated reopening often causes products to oxidize and degrade), and because they use paraben preservatives in their products (which are potentially estrogenic).
