Remember the girl named Lou,
Who didn't know what to do?
Well, now she does
And that's because
Her life is not so sad,
And her heart is not so mad.
Lou has lately seen
That her mother is not so mean.
This makes her want to smile,
And go the extra mile
Towards making up with her mom
And keeping her heart calm.
The only thing for which she may ask
Is child support so she can get contacts.
She has broken free of the rage
And put it back in its cage.
She no longer wants to fight,
She just wants to make things right.
She's realized now that life is too short,
She'd rather not fill it with hate, just sport.
She's learned to live with the hand she's been dealt,
And push back in her mind all the pain she has felt.
She wants to apologise to her mother somehow,
But she truly does not know how.
She wants to wash away the tears
That they both have cried throughout the years.
Although the hurt will always remain,
She will try not to re-live all the pain
With each passing day,
And try to remember the games they would play.
Now Lou will beg and plead
That you don't get angry at what you did read.
She wrote her heart down
But now she does frown
Because she fears this will anger you.
So whatever you do
Remember this one thing:
Even though you and her father no longer share a ring,
She loves you just the same
Even though, her heart, the two of you did maime.
Also remember that she loves you always,
And she hopes that your love for her stays
As long as the two of you live
And have some love to give.
And even though
It does not always show,
She misses your love and care
Even though you are not right there.
