Gig Goers: ATOMIC WEDGIES required and fast!!!! Why do so many idiots think that stage diving and crowd surfing is cool? I was half the time lookin out to see I didn't cop it in the head- which I did anyways. But I saw a few Porkers get hit and this is not fun when you start to hurt people or make people on edge about being hurt. When people come from the back or side of ya you need to have eyes over your entire head. Impossible!
The Support act- Neo Creepers.
Holy cripes these guys blew my mind away. For those that don't know who they are- try The Living End with a lot more than they offer. I know HUGE call. But I reckon they were THAT good. They certainly brew up a storm for a 3 piece (drums/ double bass/ guitar). They have an EP out in about a month.
The Porkers
Big Phil- he made it! YAY!!! We missed him last nite. Nice to see added so much tooo Little Bitch.
Anyone ever notice how cool Gutsy plays guitar? I know I was a little slow on the uptake here but I stood in front of him for a large portion of last nite's gig and how cripes he blew me away. Just got love his strokes (fnar fnar!). No glasses or camera tonite. Good to see he did his "trademark"= getting into the crowd for Alcohol. At this point Gutsy Skulled a VB that Tom (Neo Creepers) offered to pour down his throat.
Pete was in fine form- he managed to stage dive into the crowd a few times. Lucky for him there were some bigger bouys there to catch him. In the process he lost a few buttons from his shirt. Girls- Lets just say I now know he hasn't got a navel piercing as his tummy was exposed. Some of the faces/dance moves/stunts he pulled cracked me up. Utterly hiliarious. I think this was the most animated I've seen him since W2hooooo in Kiama last year. (but then again I was sober - so it may be culprit.)
Talk about some jumping goin on last nite- cripes they musta had springs in their shoes at times. I love it when bands put on a performance rather than play a set- Last nite The Porkers played a performance (only drama: SOME of the crowd). Mmmmm Rocket sang a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday to someone in the crowd- think their name was Mad Day (??). What quaint vocals he possesses. One guy kept handing Pete requests for songs- he asked for some song (forget what one) and if they didn't play it they were "Australian hoods". Hence a joke about circumsized penises. Funny shit.
Set List
I didn't score one- but from memory they played pretty much the same set as QUT except they played Aporkalyso and a maybe one or two different ones. Doncha just love "Not At All". I think the people around me knew I love it- I think I kinda went a bit crazy. Oooops.
Whilst callin the Porkers back for an encore- Gutsy walked out playing " Skippy The Bush Kangaroo Theme" so the crowd being full of piss like most were started singing the tune. What a sad lot we are? ha!
Skanking
Mark from what others in the crowd told me you WON skanker of the gig. I think the Rose and Crown was filled with some regulars thaT really don't get normally get into the Porkers. Good to see them trying at least. But it's it soo funny to watch people try to skank when they obviously have nfi who the porkers are! cracks me up.
Beer is Good.
Well after my effort at QUT - I was the designated driver today. Thankfully I hear some say. (not lookin at anyone in particular here) So in my sober state I can honestly say - The Porkers truely do get ppl in believing Beer is Good. <insert joke idea> Maybe they should try to get a brewery sponsorship. It wouldn't take much if anyone from a brewery turned up they would know Pork Fans love BEER!<end of idea> Two poor guys couldn't stand up and they was trying to skank at the same time- funny shit. BTW - Last nite I was in a similar state so I do larf at myself as well.

Oh don't you love those new girly "Time Will Tell" shirts? Talk about smooth. Not sure what sizes they come in. Looks like a few girls bought some as a few were modelled very well by some young attractive slim girls. Bouys- Don't forget the "Keep my Cool" basketball shirt.
