How to Ollie
First of all, watch a pro, or someone else ollie so you know the basics steps to it, and you should already have mastered the skateboarding basics. The first time you try to ollie, and you aren't comfortable with trying it rolling, try it stationary, in a crack, or even on grass (although it is harder). Stand on your board with your back foot on the tail and your front foot in the middle of your board. First, snap your back foot on the tail, while your front foot is moving towards the nose of your board. If you did it correctly, all four wheels will be in the air for a short period of time. Land with your feet on trucks so your will not do damage to the board.

Many people find that learning to ollie can be very frustrating and difficult. Some people on the other hand, learn in just a few days.
Eventually, when you get the hang of it, you'll be throwing ollies off of 9 stairs.
After you master the ollie, I recommend you learn the
pop shove-it, or the kickflip.
