happy belated birthday chloe =)

was too tired to blog when i got home on thursday. after yashu and i carried out the BIG BIRTHDAY PLAN for chloe heh. so much so that i fell asleep while we were phone conferencing =X

so here's the gist of the story, before i go back to mugging. this is gonna be a long one, bu must be blogged out cos it was an amazingly fun day =)

met yashu early in orchard at 11+ to buy chloe's present. we got her nice num slippers, with the help of a rather friendly, patient [and somewhat cute dragonboater!] promoter who gave us lots of advice. we got her a cool nike cap too! as well as a delicious crystal jade blueberry cheesecake. and supplies from popular as part of our plot. running in heels till we were both high! must practise wearing heels so i don't die for prom.

anyway.

we took bus 111 to opposite queensway, which is near chloe's house. and the bus driver was quite nice and patient with us when we asked whether the bus goes in the right direction and such. even though i gather he got the impression we were abit too kan cheong heh. still, that's nice person #2 for you. we met alot of nice people who helped us to accomplish in some way that day =) plus when we got off the bus this lady [who might have heard my conversation with the bus driver, or might just have concluded that we wanted to get to the ikea area on her own, i'm not sure] approached us at the bus stop near dawson's place and gave us directions to ikea. so if you're keeping count [well even if you're not, i certainly am] that's nice person #3!

then we went to queensway to pick up our lead actor, the famous cdg. i guess this part of the plot needs a little explaining.

cdg is this friend of yashu's who is SUPER CUTE. i swear you do not know what SUPER CUTE means until you've seen him in the flesh. and yashu has been promising to let us meet him for ages. so anyway the plan was to get him to pretend to be a delivery guy and bring chloe's present to her doorstep as a surprise [thus giving her an eyeful! whoa a SUPER CUTE delivery guy!], on the pretext of yashu giving him and her other friend a meatball treat at ikea.

AHA! brilliant, you say.

yes, it is brilliant, thank you very much. the plan almost fell through though, cos we only thought of it last minute [hence the plotting till 3+am] and it was hard to contact yashu's friends to get them to come. and just when we'd got it all settled, the other friend [who had earlier promised to pon school if we needed him] actually up and went to school. just to take his stupid mock exam. grrr, i pon mock exams like nobody's business okay. but the problem is that cdg and this guy are really good friends so cdg might not be willing to come if he's the only guy [he's shy].

so yashu and i went crazy in orchard, with her making frantic calls to her friends, trying to arrange for the guy to chiong down after school or for someone else to come instead, and me fielding smses and calls from chloe. we'd told her we wanted to have a study date with her in the afternoon, so i had to fool her into thinking yashu was still asleep in order for 1) the lead actor to make it down in time 2) us to buy her present and 3) keep her at home. surprisingly, cdg agreed to come alone! even after we revealed our ulterior motives, heh. which makes him nice person #4 =)

that was pretty much the point where we really started getting high, cos our plan was gonna work after all. okay, now

[end flashback, snap back to reality]

so we met cdg at queensway. SUPER CUTE. even though he's rather quiet. but it's worth mentioning that although we'd offered to pay for his cab fare from woodlands to queensway, he only asked us for $10 when the cab driver charged him $14 "cos he went by the long route, from A to B when he should have gone by C to D which is shorter" so in addition to being a walking street directory, he's a gentleman as well. the 3 of us took bus back to dawson's place where we bought a lighter [red one okay! auspicious colour chosen by yours truly wahaha] and headed to chloe's house.

unfortunately when we arrived chloe had gone out. she figured since she was waiting for us she might as well go study with some other friends at outram park first. so now it was my job to convince her that i'd come to her house to find her since yashu wasn't gonna arrive for some time [supposedly stuck in a traffic jam on the expressway HEH], so where are you you'd better come back and see me yes? which she did, of course. so when she was safely back in her house, we sent cdg ahead with a specially designed parcel [brown paper package with present inside, complete with written invoice for her to sign + her address provided by nice person #5 priya] while we put the candles on the cake in the corridor.

the plan was a total success cos chloe thought he was a real postman! and naturally, noticed his SUPER CUTEness, to the extent that she even offered to open the door for him HAHA. if you're reading this, dear, that's terribly dangerous policy, opening the door to a stranger, even if he is SUPER CUTE =X

anyway. so after cdg had delivered his parcel, i went in to see her and feed her the line which would facilitate the next part of the surprise. she asked me if i had sent the parcel, so of course i said no. and promptly moved the conversation on to more important topics so she wouldn't focus too much on the parcel.

"eh. did you see that guy in the striped shirt just now? ..."

the perfect distraction.

"YA YA YA DAMN CUTE DAMN CUTE!!!" *excited squeals* "i wanna be postwoman already!"

etc etc.

something like that anyway i can't remember what was said exactly. then while we're sitting in her room yashu rang the doorbell with cdg holding the cake.

"how'd you like to see the postman again?"

HAHA PERFECT. so chloe, eyes lit up like orchard rd on christmas eve, opened the door and then we had our cake cutting ceremony. the cake was quite nice =) then we sat around and talked for a while, eating sweets from her vegetable and fruits compartment. unfortunately cdg got an expired sweet eww. after which we realised that most of her sweets were expired, but fortunately yashu and i hadn't been lucky enough to pick those, heh. and cdg attempted to play forever love by ear on her piano, not very successfully however.

later, we sent cdg to the bus stop and the 3 of us took bus down to orchard, where we parked ourselves in paragon coffee bean, bought drinks and talked for ages. finally, back to her house for dinner: red wine chicken and abalone, nice =) plus still more talking and hanging out on her bed. whacking yashu with the elephant HEH X)

super super fun day! haven't been so happy for ages. chloe if u see this TAG okay. just wanna tell you thanks for being a great jiemei! for being smart fun CHIO [make you happy yes?] and always there to talk to. in case i don't tell you often enough, I LOVE YOU <333
