| As you may have noticed by the side bar I have been reading Managers of Their Homes of late. I must say it is an incredibly helpful book and I am indebted to Perri for letting me have it. I'll have to send her some good chocolates as soon as the summer season is over and See's will allow it...or maybe this calls for Godiva. At any rate, I have been busy implimenting and tweaking our schedule the past week. I was amazed to find how much time I had on my hands. Time I normally "wasted" by sitting here at the computer really doing nothing of importance. It will take a while but the housework now seems to be manageable and school is running much more smoothly than even my old schedule was allowing. I now have time to work with K for one half hour each day (except Tuesdays, of course) and have a lot of time to play with the children. I think the only way to make this more perfect would be to rid ourselves of the television again but that will never happen. We love our sports too much. lol. Tuesday we went to dance in the morning. Kurtis did well. I think he is doing better now that the class size has decreased to four or five. It had been up to nine or so for a few months. We didn't make it to the library again because I thought I'd take a short nap before we left and ended up sleeping for two hours. I guess I had not yet recovered from Monday. For dinner we went to Chick-Fil-A. We obviously do this most Tuesday nights. We were not able to stay long this evening though as Stan had to be off to his first Deacon meeting. He will be installed on Sunday. Wedensday we got in some swimming. I actually scheduled swimming for everyday but Thursday. I'm glad we did it yesterday though because this morning I woke up and it was raining and tomorrow doesn't look good either. I swear someone stole the Southern California weather. I hope it is recovered soon. Today Stanley had his piano lesson. That looks to get complicated soon. The teacher is leaving but forgot to tell us in time to withdraw from the school before the next pay period. :-/ But he still has his recital coming up and is ready for that. He's improved greatly in his piano just this last week since we started our schedule. His attitude toward it is much better. I should have done this years ago. |
