What I'm reading today:
Managers of their homes
(It's Tuesday but I got up a little early so I thought I'd go ahead and post this so the entry doesn't run too long.)

Sunday--Nothing interesting since I ended up with a cold.  Did go to church in the am but that's about it.  I spent the rest of the day on the sofa with a box of tissue.  Finally decided that I'd take some Motrin.  I felt much better in the morning.  Works every time.  (duh)

Monday--We got up really early (which is probably why I'm up so early today) and we drove down to Escondido to visit the Wild Animal Park.  It was a fun and relaxing day.  We went on the tram tour first.  The kids (except Louis, of course) had a great time.  Although Kurtis was "done" about 1/2 hour before it was over.  Stanley learned the word flamboyance, as in a flamboyance of flamingoes.  He will now be using that for everything for a few days.  At least until he learns another big word.

After the tram tour we had a nice picnic lunch on the front lawn.  We bought one of those refrigerated coolers for the van so we were able to take meat sandwiches and milk.

We had intended to leave shortly after lunch but we ended up staying almost until the closing time.  We went to see all their plants.  Louis fell asleep before we got to the Bonsai House.  We walked up through their cactus and succulent garden (of course) and then we walked over to their native plants garden.  Kurtis fell asleep in the latter and we took turns watching them in the shade while one of us followed Stanley around the maze of paths in the native garden.

After we were done there we walked over to see the Condors.  This is Stanley's favoite exhibit.  We got some good pictures of the Condors.  They are apparently more active in the late afternoon when the wind picks up than in the still of the early afternoon.

We finally came home and Stanley and I finished the day by soaking in the spa.  OK so Stanley doesn't exactly soak.  He swam and I soaked.
