Artwork Specifications
How to set up your artwork
In order to create a strong visual representation on your printed products keep the following guidelines in mind when creating your artwork�.
- Logos that include fine lines or type tend to fill in during the printing process
- Copy should be within at least a 1/16� margin from edges
- Borders should be within at least 1/8� margin from edges.
- Bleeds must extend at least 1/8� beyond cut size.
- Punched holes and slots must at least a 1/8� margin
- Reverse typeset copy must be in bold and larger than a 6 pt. type.
- All copy and colors touching must not have a dead fit.
Camera Ready Art
Company specific artwork including logos, drawing and typesetting require camera ready artwork. Artwork that is produced on office copiers or sent via fax is not camera ready. Any additional time required to create a camera ready version of your artwork will require an additional fee (color separations of camera ready artwork does not require an additional fee).
Laser Art
Artwork printed via laser printers should be submitted at 200% of actual size. Half tones should be adjusted to print at 65 lpi or at 100%.
Artwork on Disks
Disks should be formatted for MAC compatibility using the following programs: Quark Express 3.3 & 4.0, Adobe Illustrator 9.0, Adobe Photoshop 6.0, Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 and Macromedia Freehand 9.0. Disk graphics must be in Tiff, Pict or EPS format. Also include the screen and printer fonts as well as black and white and color separated art.
