Oktay Konyar has been set free

Oktay Konyar, the spokesperson of the villagers around the the mining area in Bergama, Turkey, has been set free by the court.  Konyar was arrested and jailed on April 12, 2002 for "insulting a police officer".  After fifteen days of imprisonment, Konyar is finally free to go back to Bergama again.
