The Prime Minister of Turkey decides to close the mine in Bergama

Bülent Ecevit, the Prime Minister of Turkey, has ordered the Mayor of İzmir to close the gold mine in Bergama, the town in the province of İzmir where a gold mine in which gold is leached by cyanide has recently started to produce gold, and the Mayor of İzmir is expected to close the mine.
As a result of the Prime Minister's decision, cyanide leaching in gold mines has come to an end in Turkey.
