What's wrong with this team?

With the talent that's on this roster we should be blowing last place teams out of the water, not getting shut out  by them.  On paper you'd think this Moes team was stacked. What's wrong with this team?  Well, other than the fact  that the forwards don't skate back often enough, the defense like to carry the puck too much, and our goalie gets  hung out to dry as soon as we're behind by more than two goals... nothing.  Actually, there is one more thing.  This team's got no chemistry.

Attendance is erratic causing too many different lines to be created. It's rare to have the same two guys on your  line for two consecutive weeks. Furthermore, the line juggling also sees guys playing forward one week and defense  the next. We're a few games away from the end of the season yet this team still hasn't gelled.

It'll be back to the drawing board this summer as some pieces of the same old puzzle will get shifted around to  see if there's a fit. Some have already stated that they won't be back. Others are undecided.

Back to the game at hand... The Spitfires played a solid game from the goaltender on out. However, I had never  noticed how annoying it sounds to root for your own team, by name, from the bench in a men's league. "C'mon  Spitfires!" "Let's go Spitfiiiirrrres!"

First of all, you're up four-nothing. What are you "c'mon"-ing and "let's go"-ing for? A fifth goal?
Secondly, I can see adults doing it for their kids' teams. But adults doing it for their own team? Kinda gay.

Score: Spitfires 4 - Moes 0
