Moes put out Spitfires

It's official. The Spitfires are my favourite team in the ASHL. Well, excluding us of course.
They were good, but not
too good (after all, we did beat them).  They were clean (only two minor penalties called all game).  And, get this, they even let me score my first goal of the season against them.

Okay,
let is not exactly the word. No one lets anyone score on them in semi-organized hockey. But I did score and that's what counts.  While I did get in a fist-pump after scoring, I was able to contain myself from letting out a triumphant "YEA-AHHHHH!!" and held back from fishing the puck out of the net which would have totally made me look like an asshole (as did the guy in our October 15th game against the Nordics who scored the all-important eighth goal in the 8-2 beating they laid on us that night and then did a little celebratory sing-song -- well, not that big of an asshole). Regardless, there would be no bronzing of this puck tonight.

The new jerseys we've finally gotten a hold of are working like a charm as the bright yellow seems to be distracting/blinding the opposition. Two-and-oh with the new duds but more importantly we're finally looking like a team.  And if all else fails, all the fat guys can use their jersey on Halloween and go out as "the sun".
