Moe Gemmell wins the lottery!

It all came down to the Monday nighter for former Moe backstop turned forward, Moe Gemmell. If the favoured Arizona Cardinals defeated the San Francisco 49ers he would be a perfect 13-for-13 in this week's Pro-Line Pools and guarantee himself a slice of the grand prize.
The payout could be huge! Just last month, Chris Stephens and Jihane Belanger of Windsor won the largest single prize ever won on a sports ticket in Ontario when they were the only ones who correctly predicted the winners of all fourteen American football games including a few longshots. Their payout? $573,537.00. Sure better than a kick in the nuts!
As it turned out, the Cardinals did defeat the 49ers and Moe Gemmell did guess all 13 NFL games correctly, However, so did another 1,673 Pro-Line Pools players as this week in NFL football apparently didn't feature too many upsets by underdogs. Each winning ticket will receive $405.30 for their efforts, which is still better than a kick in the nuts... but not by much. |
