Manulife Financial and TD Mutual Funds contribute to the cause

Two cheques in the amount of $250 each arrived late last week as both Manulife Financial and TD Mutual Funds donated to the Moes 4 A Cure fundraiser for JDRF.
TD Mutual Funds has participated generously in our M4AC fundraiser since its inception in 2005, while this marks the second straight year of particpation for Manulife Financial.
The mutual fund industry continues to be a strong JDRF supporter as they participate in diabetes research events such as "The Walk" and "The Ride" every year. Last year, over 300 enthusiastic and high-energy riders from seven mutual
funds companies took part in The Ride for Diabetes Research Mutual Fund Challenge held at Nathan Phillips
raising a total of $110,000.
"We're delighted that the mutual fund industry has taken the cause of
juvenile diabetes to heart and has been committed to raising awareness and
funds for the Ride for Diabetes Research over the years," said JDRF Canada
President and CEO Andrew McKee.
