M4AC '08 raises $11,939 for JDRF

Almost four full months after the first solicitation letter for this year's fundraiser went out, the 2008 edition of the Moes 4 A Cure fundraiser for JDRF has finally come to an official close. The last bit of proceeds trickled in from the final auction item and, without a doubt, this year's event was the biggest and best yet as $11,939 was raised for the charity, surpassing the $10,000 goal that was set.
The Charity Poker Tournament was the biggest draw once again this year as it brought in more than half of the total that was raised by M4AC. The remainder was made up of generous donations including several of the corporate variety that either came in cash or as prizes for our online auction. Some of our biggest supporters this year were Urbacon, RBC Asset Management, Inter Mechanical Contracting Ltd, TD Mutual Funds, Manulife Financial, Invesco Trimark, The National Hockey League and World Wrestling Entertainment.
Moes 4 A Cure has raised nearly $30,000 for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in the four years that they've held their fundraiser. |
