This was written for any mother who had to give a child up for adoption..inspired from watching "Reuinion" on tv.

ANSWERED PRAYERS

You gripped my finger tight
I loved you at first sight
My little girl so pink and new
What was I supposed to do?

I did not want to see the day
When I would have to give you away
But you needed a family to give you all
And I was backed against the wall.

You see,your Daddy left the day
I told him you were on the way
He didn't want us in his life
Said he didn't want a baby and wife.

I knew I had to let you go
Even though I loved you so
I whispered in your little ear
"I'll always love and miss you dear".

And,now as years have slowly passed
I will finally see you again at last
You searched for me,I soon will see
The lovely young woman you grew to be.

My prayers were answered from above
As I prayed for parents to give you love
You have the best two in the world
And I'm sure you're "Daddy's little girl.
