y: and

yel: correct spelling hiel: bile, bitterness

yela: (correct word hiela, verb helar) there is a frost. In most parts of the Province of Buenos Aires, snow is unknown but the coldest mornings are some centigrade degrees below 0, cold enough to be very hard if you are not with the right cloths or not used in sleeping under the sky over your saddle.

yerras: plural of yerra: days of catle-brand, calves are branded and males castrated. The brand is called hierro (iron), the word yerra derives from hierro. Branding is still a festival, gauchos like to show their ability with lassoo, many join to help and of course to enjoy. There is plenty of wine and barbecue, when the job is done there are guitars and some of them play with the taba, which is made of bone and is thrown by two contenders and wins who make it fall in the right position. Depending on the age and number of calves yerra is a hard task, so any help is welcomed with the only condition of capability.

yerro: correct spelling erro, verb errar: I miss, I fail
