NETWORK TOPOLOGY

DEFINITION NETWORK TOPOLOGY:
Network topology refers to the layout of the computers and devices in a communication network

BUS

A bus network consists of a single central cable (backbone), to which all computers and other devices connect (node)

In a bus network, it transmit data, instructions and information as a series of signal in both directions where all nodes receive the signal but only the intended recipient will accept the signal and rge rest will ignore

RING

A cable forms a closed loop (ring) with all computers and devices arranged along the ring

Data trasmitted on a ring network travels from device around the entire ring, in one direction (clockwise/antiwise) and it reach its destination by using token.

STAR

All computers and other devices on the network connect to a central device (hub/switch), thus forming a star

Data, instructions and information's transfer from one node to another node through hub/switch
-If the network used hub the signal will send to all nodes but only the intended recipient will accept the signal and the rest will ignore
-If the network used switch, the signal will send directly to the intended recipient
