Near the middle of the Fae's camp, where Crystal made it a habit to gather the Fae together for all of her
announcements, she called on everyone who was available to come to decide Marigold's fate.
It just so happens that only the Orange Fae, who were terrified of Crystal, were available for the Tribunal. And
of course, she knew this. The others were away on missions as Crystal had planned. Everyone, that is, except Beryl,
the closest Fae to Crystal and one who was the most loyal. Of course, this was also planned. She relied on Beryl's
loyalty to help defend her position, and all she needed was one Orange Fae to agree. Like there will only be one.
Crystal didn't have to plan on any ONE Fae since she knew that they were too afraid NOT to agree.

Crystal smiled inwardly. Now she will deal with Marigold and her so call little family. And an added benefit,
this Tribunal will teach the others not to get any funny ideas to go off on their own as Marigold and Dex did.

Cyana listens as Crystal
explains her special
assignment.
However, Crystal hadn't expected Cyana's presence. You see, to get rid of
Cyana, Crystal had sent her on an extended assignment.
"We need to know when Man, The Supreme Being's child, has arrived and
exactly where, Cyana. Otherwise, how can we stay away as our Mother suggested?"
       This sounded reasonable to Cyana.
"And you are the only one I can trust with something so important. Nite, well, it's
best she stays here and help gather dust. And Beryl can not stay in flight as long as
you."
Cyana was overjoyed that Crystal finally trusted her and she agreed easily. So
she spent her days flying throughout Gaia, creating a mini-camp here and there as
a place to return to rest and take nurishment, looking for signs of Man. It was a very
lonely life, although Cyana did have the company of Gaia's creatures whereever she
camped, but this didn't replace her sisters. Therefore, she would return home once
every few weeks for a visit. However, Crystal never allowed these visits to be for
long, convincing her that it was beneficial to all of JyM's children to know the very
moment Man appeared, and so off Cyana would soar to continue her scanning of
every nook and cranny of Gaia's surface.

It had been a very long time since Cyana's last visit to her home and she had no
idea what had happened at the Fae camp.
After Crystal named all of Marigold's wrongdoings, Marigold was allowed to speak in her own defense.
"Sisters, you do not understand. Dex makes me very happy, happier than anyone except our own Mother.
He comforts me when I am sad. He thinks of my needs before his own. He has worked side by side with me even
when I've insisted that he need not. When I'm alone with him, music from a thousand invisible and yet to be heard
instruments play, and it is the most beautiful sound in all of Gaia. At least, it plays for Dex and I. And since we
have created another Fae together, we have become even closer, if that is possible. It is wonderful to be in love.
If you care for me, you'd want me happy. I agree that we should not have deceived you, but we felt we had no
choice at the time. Please, please understand."

Marigold trys to explain the music only she and Dex hear when they are
                                                                   together.
Crystal rolled her eyes thinking that Marigold was over reacting again,
but when she looked at her sisters, she saw only compassion in their eyes. She
quickly turned on Marigold.

"You should have thought of all of this before, Marigold," she said. "You
have disturbed the tranquility of our home. You have neglected both Gaia and
our Mother. You MUST be punished for this."
"I understand," Marigold spoke directly to Crystal. "Please, have pity.
Whatever you choose to do to me, I will accept. But, I ask that you do nothing
to Dex or my child for they are not to blame. And, please, allow me to see
them, for I fear my heart will surely tear, and I will die inside without my mate
and my child. "

Crystal turned her head away. "It's not up to me. You're asking the wrong
person to have pity. But, I don't understand why we should pity you after all
that you have done. You, Marigold, have shamed us all!"

Marigold pleads for
the safty of Dex.
Cyana could not continue to stand idly by listening to Crystal persecute poor Marigold any longer.

"Wait just one minute, Crystal", Cyana began. "Has a real wrong been done here? Are you forgetting why our
Mother brought the men to us? It was time for us to make a change and they are an important part of that change."

Then Cyana turned to her sisters and asked, "Who here has been touched by the men some how, how they
make us feel special and wanted?"

Every Fae in attendance agreed that the men did make them feel differently,
and it was a good feeling. They began to murmur, speaking of this new emotion
that scared them at first. Now they each enjoyed the euphoria that they felt when
one of the men was near. Tangerine described the feeling as having butterflies in
her stomach, but "they're wonderfully sweet butterflies", she said.
Even Beryl had to agree, as Crystal glared in her direction, her eyes
                                                      becoming slits in her head.
"And we were told that the men were needed to have children so that we
would prosper and be satisfied. That's why they are different from us. Don't you
                                                       see?"
Cyana paused to look into every face.

"The male Fae are suppose to act this way," she continued excitedly, the
realization coming over her, "and we are suppose to respond the way that
Marigold has. She did no wrong. It is time for us to think beyond our sisterhood.
We need the men, and they need us. "
All the Fae once again nodded their heads to agree, even Beryl, despite the message she was getting from
Crystal to help her shut Cyana up!
"And from what Marigold has described, we should all be so lucky to be chosen as a mate, don't you agree?"

Cyana smiled, forgetting about Crystal who stood beside her, the Blue Fae's face becoming red with anger. The
others nodded their heads up and down, agreeing once again with Cyana, the murmur rising as they each began
to share how they hoped Dan, Dante, Dillon, Dirk or Dorn would choose them to be their mate; how much they too
wanted to share the experience of being a mother, and how they so desired to hear music that was only meant for
themselves and their man to hear.
The talk continued and became real conversations, the gathered Fae no longer listening to one person, and
soon they were asking Marigold how it felt to be a mother, how life was for she and her new family. They all
couldn't wait to see Blossom and became excited at the prospect of more children, their own children, happily
dancing around the camp, as they had so many years ago.
The Tribunal was over, Marigold's punishment forgotten, the beautiful lilt sound of the Fae's voices filling the
air. It was almost time for the mid-day meal.

Crystal hadn't moved, feeling the fury rising abruptly as she watched her sisters disperse in pairs or threes, as
they continued talking about the men and motherhood. Even Beryl was chatting happily with Cyana, something the
two sisters had not done in a very long time.
"AM I THE ONLY ONE SEEING THE REAL PROBLEM HERE!"

Crystal streaked, shaking the trees, as she flew straight up into the air, a ball of blue flame that took a direct
turn northward.

I do believe it was time for another "vacation" for Crystal.

Marigold is relieved
when Cyana speaks up.
