Sisqo Shoots "Thong Song" Remix Video 
Having the summer's reigning party song and a slot on 'NSYNC's summer tour may be enough for most, but Sisqo is working hard to hold on to the title of rumpmaster general.
The man behind the "Thong Song" revisited the booty last week while shooting video for his remix of "Thong Song" in Los Angeles. As we previously reported, Sisqo snagged the appropriately risqu� Foxy Brown for the remix, which will surface on the soundtrack to the "Nutty Professor" sequel. The album hits record stores on July 11 (see "Sisqo Ponders Ballad, Preps 'Thong' Remix").
Foxy wiggles her way into the video for the remix as well, helping Sisqo put together what promises to be a prequel to the original "Thong Song" clip featuring a throng of thongettes clamoring for a cameo in the video.
"Foxy got chose for the 'Thong Song: Uncensored' mainly because myself and Def Jam Records, we pretty much have been working pretty close-knit with my whole project," Sisqo explained to MTV News. "We were kind of thinking, 'All right, how can we do a remix to one of the most phenomenal songs of the year?' It's kind of difficult when you have so many different people in the same song, to do a remix to try to please everybody again. It's almost impossible." [RealVideo]
Sisqo will undoubtedly trot out at least one version of "Thong Song" during his stint on 'NSYNC's U.S. tour, which kicks off Tuesday night in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Mya Happy For Sisqo's Solo Success 
Young R&B siren Mya is off to a good start with her second album, "Fear Of Flying," and one of her former collaborators isn't doing too shabby either.
Mya's latest release, "Fear Of Flying," will debut at number 15 on next week's "Billboard" pop chart, just ten spots below one of Mya's former collaborators -- Sisqo, whose "Unleash The Dragon" moves to number four.
For her 1998 self-titled debut LP, Mya recorded a song called "It's All About Me" with the thong man himself (in the pre-"Thong Song" days, of course). Now that she is on top of her game and Sisqo is excelling with his solo project, Mya can smile when she sees the Dru Hill frontman jumping around on the beach in his current video.
"I think it's great," Mya told the MTV Radio Network of Sisqo's success. "I think Sisqo has a freedom to like give more of himself and he's not going to be bashed for trying to be the star of a group. You know, Dru Hill's still together to my knowledge, and they're as one, still. But I think he has the freedom to be creative and do flips in the video and cartwheels everywhere. So I think he has an opportunity to do what he's always wanted to do, so I'm happy for him."

UPDATE: Blackstreet's Chauncey Disses Riley, Sisqo On Wax
Hannibal of Blackstreet has  lyrically attacked R&B colleague Sisqo. Chauncey told MTV News on Wednesday that there had been some animosity brewing between the two with regard to some personal issues.
In response, Riley has filed a countersuit charging Hannibal with defamation of character and slander. Riley, who claims he has done nothing but good business with Hannibal, is currently in talks with Sisqo about filing a dual suit against the singer.
At press time, Sisqo was not available for comment.

'NSYNC Sings The Praises Of Sisqo 
When 'NSYNC hits the road next week on their highly anticipated "No Strings Attached" tour, the boys plan on giving fans their money's worth right from the opening act.
Aside from planning a well choreographed, pyrotechnic-filled stage show of their own, the 'NSYNC boys chose Sisqo, one of today's most energetic performers, to open the shows. In a recent interview with the MTV Radio Network, 'NSYNC explained why they chose to share a stage with the Dru Hill member gone solo.
"We just think (Sisqo) will be a great compliment to the tour," 'NSYNC member J.C. said. "It's a big tour and we want people to get their money's worth. It's our tour, yeah. But, I mean, you are going to get more than you paid for and that's the goal. We want people walking away from our show amazed."
'NSYNC and Sisqo will start amazing live audiences on May 9 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Sisqo: "Thong Song" O.K. For Kids
When the news broke that Sisqo would be on board when 'NSYNC launched its upcoming U.S. tour, a small wave of protest soon followed, as many wondered whether or not Sisqo and his runaway hit "Thong Song" were appropriate for 'NSYNC's seemingly younger audience.
It was two weeks ago that the boy band announced that the Dru Hill singer gone solo would join them on the road (see "Sisqo Confirmed For 'NSYNC Tour"), and almost immediately e-mails began streaming in, as many argued that Sisqo was "totally inappropriate" for 'NSYNC's audience.
Among the dissenters, one dismayed fan noted, "The day that 'NSYNC decides they want to grow out of the 'good guys' reputation is going to be a sad day for the younger generation who respects them," while another 24-year-old 'NSYNC fan told MTV News that she felt that the "Thong Song" was inappropriate even for her, and called the booking a "tragic error in judgment."
Sisqo recently defended his ode to streamlined swimwear to the MTV Radio Network, noting that he is, above all else, a concerned parent. We just got to be responsible as parents to know where to draw the line," Sisqo said, noting that he tried to follow that same advice when writing "Thong Song." Sisqo said that he tried to steer clear of straight up obscenity in favor of less offensive terms like "booty."
"I try my best to be as responsible as possible, and hopefully, at the end of the day, I won't get slaughtered by too many parents when they see that I'm a parent as well," [RealAudio] Sisqo said.

19/4 Sisqo CONFIMED for NSYNC tour
After much speculation, Sisqo has been finally been confirmed as a featured act for 'NSYNC's upcoming North American tour, which is scheduled to kick off on May 9 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Based on the current top ten status of 'NSYNC's "No Strings Attached" and Sisqo's "Unleash The Dragon," the concert pairing easily becomes one of the premier draws of the summer touring season.

As we reported earlier this month, Pink has already been tapped to open for the 'NSYNC-Sisqo tour (see "Pink Lands 'NSYNC Tour, Plans New Video").

Sisqo recently gave fans a preview of his stage show during a weekend appearance on "Saturday Night Live" during which he aptly demonstrated his ability to move and think on his feet.

Early in the performance of his "Thong Song," Sisqo's mic went out -- but without missing a beat he signaled for a new mic, threw the old one offstage, and caught a new microphone thrown to him in the middle of a dance routine.

Foxy shaking that 'Thong' on risqu� remix

As if his Thong Song weren't sizzling enough, Sisqo has enlisted racy rapper Foxy Brown for a remix of the track for the upcoming Nutty Professor II soundtrack. The revamped ode to the barely-there underwear will be the lead single from the album, which will hit stores July 11 and will include music from Eve, Brian McKnight, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Montell Jordan and Case. There also will be a new track from Janet Jackson, who co-stars in the sequel to the 1996 Eddie Murphy film, which made $200 million at the box office.
The platinum-haired Sisqo, lead singer of R&B quartet Dru Hill, will be hitting the road May 9 as opening act for record-shattering pop sensations 'N Sync. Sisqo has sold 2 million copies of his solo album, Unleash the Dragon, currently No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The booty-praising Thong Song has fueled much of that success.
A video featuring Brown will be shot in the next few weeks, even though the current Thong Song video is still in heavy rotation on MTV, BET and other video outlets. As for adding the ever-risqu� Brown to the mix, Sisqo says, "I didn't think it was possible, but I think we actually improved on the original."

But as much as he likes looking at thongs, don't expect to see him in one.

Sisqo Speaks On "Thong Song" Fun
With a title like "Thong Song" and an accompanying video filled with beautiful women, and, of course, thongs, you know the track isn't exactly going to be ignored.

"Thong Song" currently holds the number five slot on the "Billboard" Hot 100 chart, which, by most people's standards, would qualify the song as a bona fide hit. The song's accompanying video has also become a staple on MTV's "Total Request Live" countdown. One of the things that has surprised Sisqo the most about the success of the video is that people find it fun.
