This site is developed and maintained by Matthew Lawrence, a 17 year old in NSW, Australia. This site came about as the result of a purchase of a book about a German general whom I had not heard of before. This general's life, tactics, personality and exploits on the battlefield greatly appealed to me. No prizes for guessing which general that is.

The actual site was developed in HTML class in 2000 as a personal project using Frontpage and Notepad. The site's design and content has taken on many forms over the past three years. It originally had frames (in my ignorant days of web design - please correct me if you think frames have a purpose :)). Since then, I have redesigned the site using Notepad and tables, and added a much cleaner interface and aesthetically pleasing colour scheme. The site's current design is based in Mr Iceburn's House of Ice website (please email me if you have any objections, I don't think I've carbon copied it, but it still retains basic elements of the House of Ice website design).

Whenever I have found both time and motivation, the site has undertaken a makeover. This will be the largest addition to the site, adding two new sections on the Russian Front and Battle of the Atlantic.
