Harry is the main character of the Harry Potter series (hence the title). He is the son of Lily and James Potter, the godson of Sirius Black, and the nephew of Petunia and Vernon Dursley. Unremarkable in appearance except for a scar on his forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt, he wears glasses, has untidy jet black hair, and a knack for getting in and out of trouble.
There is really quite a lot to say about Harry, so I'll be different and say next to nothing. Ahem again. Anyway, his best friends are Hermione and, Ron. His worst enemies (apart from Voldemort), are Malfoy and Snape. And he has a crush on Cho Chang, who he acts incredibly awkwardly around. ^-^
His father was the school's champion trouble maker in his day, so Harry, I suppose, has a lot to live up to. He gets fairly good grades, but has Hermione as a friend, so that should go without saying. And he hates his aunt and uncle, and especially his cousin, Dursley.
He starts off liking Cedric, begins to be jealous and hates him, then likes him again. Then feels sad at his memorial service. Inconsistent mind... And even after the hugely traumatic experience he goes through with Voldemort in Book 4, upon his rescue he still has time to moon about Cho... Poor sod.
By the way, he has, by current reckoning, saved the world about three times. Four if you include the time before the book (though his mother, from all accounts, did all the work). And, if the fourth book is anything to go by, he will do so many more times in the future.
But that's all minor details, right?
