The Grand Canyon
No fancy tripod = only one person in the picture
We took a three-day weekend and traveled to the South Rim of the mighy Grand Canyon, a truly spectacular sight.
We hiked down into the Grand Canyon following the Bright Angel Trail, visible in this picture. The trail begins at 6860 feet above sea level.

We reached
Plateau Point, visible near the center of this photo. The lowest part of our journey was 3860 feet above sea level.

That is correct, we had to climb 3000 feet to get out of the canyon, and yes, we were very tired.
