Mohammad Sirajuddin, has worked as a Mechanical Engineer/Railway Manager with Indian Railways for nearly three decades and has had varied experience. Major exprience has been transfer of technology from General Motors at Diesel Locomotive Works, Varanasi, for manufacture of high horse-power locomotives and from Alstom-LHB, Germany, for manufacture of stainless steel high speed coaches at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. Played a major role for getting ISO Certification for DLW, Varanasi. Also had the experience of working as Consultant at National Railway of Zimbabwe on behalf of RITES.

Worked as Additional General Manager of Northern Eastern Railway at Gorakhpur and now posted as General Manger, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. Currently pursuing Executive Doctorate Programme on the subject of 'Restructuring of Railways-Analysis of global experience and options for Indian Railways'. Interested in organisational studies, quality management, transfer of technology and manufacturing management.
