The Chief Executive Officer is the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Accounting Officer at the Siparia Regional Corporation. She ensures that all business of the Corporation is carried out in accordance with the laws, by laws, regulations and resolutions of the Council and that the lawful decisions of council are executed through the officers and employees of the Corporation.
Secretariat

The Secretariat is responsible for providing secretarial services to the Council and its committees, including the agenda, minutes and reports of proceedings and issuing notices. The Corporate Secretary is responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to the Council Officers and employees concerning the affairs of the corporation.

The Administrative Officer II oversees Human Resource matters for all monthly- paid, public and contracting officers reporting currently to the Chief Executive Officer. She also has responsibility for general office management, administrating short-term contract employees, and supervises support staff in registry and mail functions
Accounts Department

The Financial Officer is one of the five Chief Officersresponsible for all financial and accounting matters of the Siparia Regional Corporation, including co-ordinating and compiling the estimates of income and expenditure (budgets) for submission to the Budget Division, Ministry of Finance and preparation of the Annual Financial Statements.
The staff of the Accounting Unit process timely payments to suppliers and contractors and submit monthly accounting reports to the council.
The payroll sub- unit ensures the timely payment of wages to daily- rated employees and short- term contract employees utilizing a computerized payroll system and online pay system which ensures that salary goes directly to the employee’s bank account.
Public Health Department

The Principal Medical Officer of Health is one of the five Chief Officers is responsible for ensuring that the duties imposed by the Public Health Ordinance are carried out and the by- laws and regulations relating to the general health and sanitation of the municipality are adhered to.
The Local Health Authority’s One Stop Service Centre as it is referred is supported by employees who monitor scavenging and solid waste contractors’ performance; ensure the cleaning of public beaches, public conveniences, drains and other public places under the purview of the Siparia Regional Corporation. The Local Health Authority also oversees cesspit cleaning services, cremation and burial services and distributes truck- borne water on a seasonal basis (dry season) to residents not serviced normally by The Water and Sewerage Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Litter Prevention Unit also falls under the Health Authority and the canine control Act recently proclaimed is also being implemented at this level.
Technical Department

The Technical Department is responsible for survey, construction and engineering works. The following sections fall under the Technical Department.
Works Section – The works section oversees the maintenance of the corporation’s main office in Siparia and sub-offices at La Brea, Cedros and Palo Seco. They also maintain the markets in Siparia, Palo Seco, Fyzabad and La Brea as well as the Shore of Peace Cremation site and the cemeteries within the Siparia Region. This section also maintains recreational grounds, basketball courts and all other facilities within the Corporation.
Roads Section – The roads section oversees the maintenance and enhancement of local roads, drains and bridges.
Mechanical Workshop and Transport Section – The mechanical workshop is responsible for the maintenance of the corporation’s fleet of vehicles, while the transport section manages and the dispatch of vehicles to support works and administrative operations.
Occupational Health and Safety – The Occupational Health and Safety Officer ensures that the facilities and operations of The Siparia Regional Corporation are in line with the OSHA standards.
Labour

The Labour Section is responsible for the administration of the daily- rated workers of The Siparia Regional Corporation. This department maintains records of service, processes documentation for various types of leave, terminal benefits and workmen’s compensation. Daily rated workers are employees of SRC and work under terms and conditions negotiated with the NUGFW Trade Union.
Disaster Management Unit

The Disaster Management Unit is a first responder in relation to local natural disasters and emergencies for the Siparia Region. The unit functionally reports to and falls under the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) for Trinidad and Tobago. The DMU is equipped to aid in disasters and provides emergency supplies. The DMU also has (trained volunteers) and offers training courses in Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERTT) and Shelter Management.
Municipal Police

The Siparia Municipal Police has the powers to arrest any person found committing an offense against the Municipal Corporation Acts, it’s by laws and regulations. The Municipal Police also have the same powers as a police officer under the Police Service Act and all officers are guided by the Commissioner of Police.
