Arrested confessed Killing Shaukat Mirza, Agha Gul and other Shia Doctors in Karachi

KARACHI, March 6 2002: The police arrested four suspects from Mominabad, Orangi Town, who have confessed to having killed several persons including the M.D. PSO, Shaukat Mirza. Police said that the four suspects were arrested during different raids from Mominabad. The suspects were identified as Ajaz alias Samiullah, Zeeshan, Mahmood Babar alias Sabir and Arif.

The suspect Ajaz alias Samiullah was arrested during a raid in Urdu Chowk, Mominabad in the early house of Wednesday morning. Police said that during interrogation the suspect confessed to having killed the former M.D. PSO, Shaukat Raza Mirza (more) and Dr Syed Rashid Mehdi (more).

Suspects Zeeshan and Mahmood Babar confessed that they had killed the principal of the Government Technical College, Orangi Town, Agha Gul (more), police said.

The police said that the fourth suspect, identified as Arif, admitted to killing the founder of Imambargh-i-Kausar. During the interrogation, he also admitted that he had killed a newspaper hawker and an official of a sensitive agency (more), the police added. Police also claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
