| Linda was born in Arizona, Feb 3, 1961, but lived in Minnasota almost all of her childhood. After high school she toured around with an accompanist friend and ended-up wining Star Search 12 times in a row (it's actually not that astonishing a number if you've ever heard her!). Anyway, that's how Frank Wildhorn found out about her (see Isn't It Romantic). She sent him an audition tape (1988?) and he decided she was perfect for the lead of Lucy Harris in his new musical "Jekyll and Hyde". A few years later (1990), they produced her first of 5 solo albums. J&H toured around for 9 years, trying to raise money and get on Broadway. In April, 1997, when Linda was 36 years old, she finally got to star on Broadway. On May 3, 1998, she and Frank got married, and in August, 1999, Jake Ryan, their son, was born. Last December (2000), Linda got her dream of, not one, but two solo concerts at Carnegie Hall, both of which were sold out. |
