| RAISING THE DEAD Acts 26:8 "Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you that God should raise the dead?" Only 'supernatural power' can give life or raise the dead. There are 'two' supernatural powers loose in this natural world... GOD and Satan. God created all life, and He created Lucifer (an angel) and God gave Lucifer 'like' supernatural powers to his own. Lucifer was God's 'masterpiece of angels' and was beautiful, except he committed high treason against God and was banished from the heavenlies by God. Lucifer became satan, a foe bent on destroying God and His people, earning eternal damnation for himself and all his followers. God created mankind in His image and gave man dominion over the earth. God gave man a soul (an eternal spirit inside each human) which will live forever. Only God can give a soul (or eternal life). Satan can only counterfeit by deception what God already created. I can only report to you what God's word says and what I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears on the subject of raising the dead back to life. (We are talking about raising physically dead terrestrial bodies from death back to life in this world.) Jesus, the only 'begotten' son of God went about doing GOOD while He was on Earth. Here are a few facts of His ministry on Earth taken from the King James Version of the Holy Bible: Matthew 9:18-25 "While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead; but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live. "And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples. "And behold a woman which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: "For she said within herself If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. "But Jesus turned him about and when he saw her he said, Daughter be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. "And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, "He said unto them, Give place; for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. "But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand and the maid arose." Matthew 9:28-29 "...Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him Yea, Lord. "Then touched he their eyes, saying according to YOUR Faith be it unto you." This gospel is also in Luke 8:41-56 and Mark 5:22-42. |
