It had been 4 years since his wife death. He was better but far from healed. He�d been on dates but no one compared to her, not that no one ever would. He was standing at her gravesite alone and depressed. He sat there thinking about her for about an hour before getting up and leaving.
He came into the house he had bought 4 years ago after her death. He had sold the other one. He just couldn�t stay in the house cause it seemed every room in the house reminded him of her. He can in to see his daughters Nanny Linda siting on the couch watching TV as he said �Hey�
�Hello, the girls just got in bed, I don�t think they�re sleep yet though.� She said looking up at him.
�Danielle dropped any hints about what she wants for her birthday� he asked her as he sat next to her on the couch.
�No but I�ll try to squeeze it out of her, she�ll break down, but she does like this little boy at school, she was telling me about him today.�
�No not now� he said tossing his head back to rest on the couch as he said �She�s my baby�
�Guess who the guy is, at least you know him�
He laughed as the name popped up in his head �Tony�
�Yeah, but he likes her too and you know if they get married you and Kevin will be in laws.�
�I don�t care about that� he said laughing �I�m going to lock her in her room right now� he said as he stood up.
She laughed as she said, �If only it was that easy�
�I wish�
�Do you need anything?� she asked as she stood.
�No but thanks, see you in the morning� he said as he started up the stairs.
�Goodnight� she said as she watched him go up the stairs.
The guys always thought the only reason that he hired Linda was because she was pretty but he had to admit that was only a small fraction of the reason why he hired her. She was a really sweet girl and well he had to admit not bad looking either. She had shoulder length dark brown hair. She had brown eyes. She had to be about 5�5. She wasn�t a complete supermodel but she was a pretty girl. He ever thought about asking her out sometimes but he did not think that that was right her be his daughters Nanny and all. And every since the first day she started working for him she had had the biggest crush on him but she never acted on it because of the things with his wife.
Linda�s morning with this family she had to admit was hectic. In the morning she had to wake them all and get them ready for school. The oldest that was 12 sat at the table eating. I know you are asking how had a 12-year-old daughter his wife had had her from a pervious relationship. Her name was Jasmine. The other two who were his one�s name was Kelly and she was 4 and the other one who was 7 name was Jessica were running around playing just like every morning.
�Hey Jessica and Kelly you two have to get to the table and eat okay� Linda said aloud trying to sound as firm as possible but they never bought that firm thing from her. She saw Kelly about to run past her and she picked her up into her arms as she sat her at the table. �Jess come on now, sit� Jessica released a huge sigh as she sat before the table to get.
Besides having to force them to eat breakfast she has to dress them, which was easy most of the time. After dressing them and feeding them it was time to piled them all in the car and get them too school. The car was pretty quiet at first until she heard crying and she looked in he back as she asked, �Who�s crying?�
Jasmine sitting up front and looking through as magazine said, �Jess is crying because she left her back-pack at home�
�I need my homework� Jess said still crying a little �I worked really hard on it�
�Don�t cry okay� she said as she parked the car before the Elementary school. She climbed out and opened the back door taking the two girls out their seatbelts as she said �I will bring your back-pack back for you okay�I promise just stop crying�
After taking the two young ones she opened her door and looked inside as she said �Jasmine stay put and don�t move and don�t touch anything�
�Okay� she said as Linda closed the door and she turned the music up as far as it would go.
She picked the youngest up Kelly and grabbed Jessica�s hand as she walked them inside the school building. She took Jessica to class first, they stood before the door Linda was still holding Kelly as she said �Don�t look so sad I am going to bring it back to you as soon as I take Jasmine to class I am going to go home and bring your back-pack back to you okay�
�You promise?� she said looking up at her.
�Yes I promise, smile for me� she pouted more crossing her arms as Linda said �Smile�
Linda made a very funny face and Jessica did laugh a little as she hit her playfully. She hugged her and then went into the classroom and Linda began to walk Kelly to class still holding her.
�I want to go back home with you� Kelly said a very sad tone in her voice.
�You can�t go back home with me, you have to go to school so that you can learn and play with your friends and stuff like that�Don�t you want to do all those fun things.�
�No�
Finally when they reached her class door, Linda place her on the floor on her feet. Linda looked down at the very sad face and she said, �Look, I will ask your Dad if you can stay tomorrow.�
�You will� she said her face starting to light up a little.
�Yeah I will now can I have a big hug?� she nodded yes and she wrapped her small arms around her and slowly pulled back as Linda said, �That was really good.�
�One more� Kelly said and before Linda could say anything she had her small arms around her again.
�Kelly� she pulled away and kneel down before her as she said, �I will be right here when you get out okay�
�Okay�bye, bye�
�Bye� Linda said as she went inside and the bell ringed and the teacher closed the door.
She jogged back to the car and climbed inside to hear the music up so high she turned it down and Jasmine closed the magazine shut as she said, �Why did you do that?�
Linda placed the seatbelt across her body as she said, �Loud music is not good for 12 year old girls ears�
�I am 12 and a half� she said as Linda pulled off and she reopened the magazine that she was looking through at first and she continued �My birthday is Saturday�
�What do you want for your birthday?�
�You and my Dad to get together� she said still looking down at the book and Linda laughed a little as she looked over at her and then back at the road before her.
�Why don�t you tell your Dad that?�
�Cause� Jasmine said closing the magazine looking over at her or the first time this morning �You�re suppose to tell a guy that you like him if you like him�
�I don�t like your Dad.� Linda said trying to convince herself more than the little girl siting next to her �That much.� Jasmine laughed a little � But your Dad doesn�t like me and ��
�You won�t know until you ask him.� Jasmine said cutting her off �Valentine�s Day is next Thursday, you can do something romantic or him and he�ll fall in love with you.�
�Yeah right� Linda said �We are alike in many ways you know that, you like Tommy and I as you say like you Dad and we�re both to scared to tell them.�
�Let�s make a deal� Jasmine said turning to her �My Dad said that when I turn 13 I can talk to guys on the phone and date sorta�so if I ask Tommy out and you have to ask my Dad out�
�A double date but only if you ask Tommy first�
Jasmine thought about at a moment as she gathered her things seeing that Linda was reaching her Middle school once the car came to a stop she turned to her �Pinky swear�
She held her pinky out and grabbed her as she said �Pinky swear�okay get out�go to school.�
�Do I have too?� Jasmine said in a joke singsong type voice.
�Yes, now go� Linda said as she laughed, �Get out.�
Jasmine opened the door and climbed out as she said �Bye Lin�
�Goodbye� Linda said she Jasmine closed the door and she drove off. Linda then raced home and got Jessica�s backpack, raced back to the school and gave it to her and then she came back to the house. She only had to straighten up on Tuesdays and Thursdays and some weekends because the other days a person came to really clean. After doing her other chores she got dressed in black biker shorts and a black sports bra with a white shirt over it as she went out for her daily run.
