"Good, me and Donna that girl I told you all about we decided to start dating."
"That model chick right."
"Yeah I met her at the park."
"Aren't she a little young for you?"
"I thought that too but she's 18, she just looks a lot younger."
"So you two are dating."
"Yeah, she just broke up with someone and so did I and we both decided we'd just take it slow."
"Well that's good"
"Yeah, we're going our Saturday night."
After taking Nick home he went home himself hoping Claudia was there. He went into his very clean and good smelling him remembering she had cleaned earlier. He went into his room and saw the figure in the bed and knew it was her but was surprised cause usually she would race to the door into his arms, he sat on the side of the bed "Babe you woke."
"Yeah"
"I had a hard day, it was this one part we couldn't get right and we had to do it over and over again, that seems to happen to us a lot,then finally we got it." she didn't move "Get up and talk to me."
She was about to cry "I didn't have such a good day."
"Get up and tell me about it."
"No"
He knew something was wrong but she sat up with her knees in her chest and her head down and her hair a mess "Claudia what's wrong, look at me."
"I can't"
He slowly lifted her face and quickly got angry when he saw the huge red hand print on her cheek "Who?...When?...What happened to you?"
"I went home to take a shower and get some things to bring here and when I got out the shower I went into my room to get my towel and he was in my room."
"Your stepfather?"
"Yeah and he started saying I was beautiful and sexy and he could see why you loved me so much and I told him to leave my room and he did so I decided I'd dry my hair here and I went to walk out the door but he stood at the door and he started saying he knew how a baby was made and he wanted me to do him and of course I said 'no'."
"So he tried to rape you."
"Yeah and when I refused to have sex with him he slapped me and all that."
"How did you get away?"
"I pretended to go along with it and when he tried to kiss me I hit him over the head with a vase and kicked him in his you know...3 times."
He wiped the tears from her eyes "3 times"
"Yeah 3 times." she buried her face in his shoulders and he was quite mad by now but was holding it in for her sake "Look at you, how he hurt you." he was quiet a long while "I'm going over there."
She sat up quickly "No you can't"
He stood up and so did she as he walked towards the door "Yes I can, look at your face." P> "No, please don't go over there it'll only make things worst."
"Claudia he did this to you while you were-"
"Pregnant I know but-"
"Nothing you can say will make me-"
She cut him off to say quickly "I'll move in with you."
"What?"
"I'll move in with you baby I promise... just please don't leave don't go over there."
"You promise."
"I promise you know I never break promises, come on, don't go, stay here..I need you here."
After a short while "Okay"
"You'll cook dinner for me while I go clean myself up and do not leave."
He nodded okay as she hugged him and then ran off as he took his glasses and his coat off and disappeared into the kitchen. She came out the bathroom dressed in a very short nightgown that had thin straps with a robe that went with it, she let her long black hair fall down her back and socks and she had to admit that she felt a lot better and went into the kitchen where she did not see him and then she went into the living room where he was and she came and sat next to him on the floor she decided to speak first "So when shall you feed me."
"It's not done yet." he looked over at her "You look good."
"Don't I always." he laughed a little and so did she has he said "I wish you would have moved in with me earlier and then this would have never happened."
"It's over now, let's just forget about it."
The last thing he wanted to do was brush it off as if it was nothing as he asked "Where were your Mom and your sister?"
"I don't know but I never saw him touch my mother or my sister since he's not my Dad I think he never really accepted me as part of the family."
"Well you are my family, you and our baby, we are a family and I promise I won't let anyone hurt you or our baby again."
"I know you won't and thank you for being here for me."
"Why wouldn't I be here? I love you I'll always be here for you."
She laughed as she got up and went back into the kitchen. He just sat there and she decided to come back and she sat back beside him and he placed his arms around her "When is our baby due?"
"In December."
"So chances are out little girl-"
"Or boy."
"Or girl will be a Cap like me."
"A stubborn Capricorn I don't think I could deal with another one of you." she said laughing.
"You won't have a choice."
"You are going to be a great mother."
"You really think so."
"And a wonderful wife someday."
She laid down on the floor not wanting to get into that growing sleepy "You're never going to marry me." she said as she yawned.
"Yes I will, one day."
"If you don't I'm sure someone will." She sat back up looking over at him knowing he hated when she talked like that.
"Why do you have to talk like that?"
"Just forget it."
"You're not mad at me are you?"
She placed her legs over his "I am not mad at you ....that much."
He grabbed her trying to tickle her to make her say that she seriously wasn't mad after a while she did laying back in his arms he asked "Why do you stay with me? You have ...you can have almost any guy you want."
"I know but I love you not other guys." After a while she started back talking in a seductive voice "You know what you can do for me that will make me forget about what my stepfather did to me?"
"What"
"Fix me something to eat." she laughed and quickly got up and him not wanting that answer got up and followed her.
