This episode shows three different stories that take place in one day. One is that Homer gets his thumb cut off and Marge tries to take him to a hospital that will sow it back on. The other is of Lisa trying to get to school in time for a sciene fair with her sciene project, a robot that corects people's grammer. She finally arrives to school, but to her embarrassment, it's the wrong school. The last one is of Bart's day. Bart and Milhouse find illegal fireworks that Fat Tony has smuggled into the country and then they become Chief Wiggum's decoys for catching Fat Tony. In the end, all of the stories coincide.
Joe Mantegna guest stars as the voice of Fat Tony. Frankie Muniz guest stars as the voice of Thelonius.
