| Hello again From Sakata! It s now 1:45 and we have just eaten lunch. WE are incharge of our own meals and let me tell you, that is very funny. Pajai is our very own cook, she prepared a great meal for the four of us, the Pator and his wife and Naoto and Soutaro, (they are the two guys that hang out with us). It was very good and the japanese couldn:t get enough of it. Today we tried to make gyoza also known as potstickers, THis did not work and so we just mashed them up and made stirfry with the poststickers and cabbage, it was still really good. We also did our first english lesson today. SOme of us were nervous, but with God by our side we did a wonderful job. It amazes me how much english these people know. We know barely any japanese and they are able to communicate with us so well. Last night was very fun, we watched THE ROCK. THe boys wanted to watch it, so we did and we put it on the overhead big screen and then had surround sound, it was so awesome. We thank and praise God so much for putting us here. We decided today that we went though so many struggles during our preperation for the trip that God gave us an easy time at our destination. We were talking about what we are going to say to people when they asked us what we did and these are the answers we came up with. We sat around and praised the Lord. WE went on outings and hung out with four really cool christian youth, we learned to play the guitar, we got to help build friendships between non chritian and christian japanese. WE have it HARD don:t we. I don:t think so!! Japanese Lesson of the Day: Tatosama means father in heaven. THat is how you start out a prayer in Japanese. |
