| Hello again. It is a very rainy day here is Sakata, Japan. We love it here so much. We are already getting sad that we will be leaving in three weeks. WE were excited to see that there were there were four young people all around 20 years old that take us around town and hang out with us. Yesturday after church we went to the beach and afterwords we played card for a long time, it felt so normal. We do not feel out of place at all. THe pastor and his wife are very funny, they are all very nice. Please be praying that our classes fill up, right now we have about 25 students and we want at least 10 more before tomorrow morning. You can also be praying that our classes go well, we begin teaching tomorrow morning. Pajai is teaching the beginning class, Andrew is doing kids, Kari is doing advanced and I will be teaching intermediate. WE are so excited! Today we went shopping in a large grocery store and got food for the next few days, the food is so different here, it is HECKA TIGHT! THat is a new word for the youth of Japan. Well, we hope that everything is going well at home! I don:t know if we will be able to load any pictures on the computer, we might be able to do it though some of the Youths cell phone (THey have cameras on them). Bye, Japan TEam Japanese Lesson of the day- When walking in the house after you have been out you yell TODAIMA. THat means I AM HOME. One more thing, today while reading my bible I came across this verse and thought that I would share it with those of you who are reading this. I am reading in Isaiah, and I am in the 49th chapter. Chapter 49, verse 5 says And now the Lord says, he who formed me in the womb to be his servanct to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himselft for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord and my God has been my strength...It goes on to say in verse 6 that It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore thetribes of Jacob and bring those of Israel I kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth. I thought that this was appropriate because we are here to be servants of the Lord to the Japanese peple, which is very hard because they out serve us all the time. But we are servants of the Lord in Japan and God created us in our mothers wombs for this very purpose! M:kay, I am going to nap with the rest of my team! Talk to you later! Oh you can be praying for us, the driving skills of the Japanese are a little different than those of California, it is scary at times! K, bye!! |
