Welcome to Simply Vision
Simply Vision is a
website dedicated to the exploration,
explanation, excavation, extrication, and
elucidation of natural vision improvement. Don't
worry -- here at Simply Vision, we'll go lightly
on the circumlocution but heavy on the
demythologization. In short, we'll be addressing
the topic of refractive errors in general with an
emphasis placed on myopia or nearsightedness --
what it is, how it starts, and what can be done
to get rid of it, naturally. Maybe
you're new to the idea of improving your vision
naturally or maybe you've been swinging and
palming for years. Maybe you wear glasses or
maybe you don't. Maybe you've read about eye
exercises before or maybe you haven't. Maybe you
like pizza or maybe you have a hairy back.
Whatever the case, I think you'll find something
of interest here, and at the very least, it will
give you a nice break from that stack of work
sitting next to you.
Unfortunately,
some people are not aware of the fact that vision
can be improved naturally. There are many
documented cases of people who have improved
their vision naturally without the risk and
expense of laser surgery which is so popular
today. One of these people was William Bates.
Generally
speaking, Dr William H. Bates (1860 - 1931) is
recognized as the pioneer in the field of natural
vision improvement. Again, many people have never
heard of Dr Bates or his methods of swinging,
palming, and practicing central fixation. Other
people have heard of Dr. Bates and the Bates
method, but they summarily reject his ideas with
a cursory flick of their wrist without conducting
any type of personal research of their own. As a
pioneer in this exciting field, Dr. Bates put
forth many new and unique hypotheses regarding
the cause and cure of refractive errors.
Though I believe
Dr. Bates provided many vision improvement
answers, I don't believe he answered or perhaps
even asked all of the right questions. Even he
himself apparently scratched his head at times
and wasn't quite sure why some people were
considered curable while others weren't. Building
on his ideas, I have developed my own theory
regarding the cause and cure of refractive
errors, including, but not limited to, myopia
(nearsightedness) and hyperopia (farsightedness).
I call this theory the Biomechanical Congruency
Theory of refractive errors, and in this website
I will set forth the particulars of this theory.
