About the Author of Simply Vision

Though his physical body is only thirty-something years old, the real Alan Winn was born millions of years ago in a galaxy far, far away.

At age 12 and with a great deal of apprehension, Alan received his first pair of glasses, which he did not like and hardly ever wore. A bit stubborn by nature, he wore them only at the movies when the lights were so low that no one could see them on his face. As a junior in high school, he eventually got contact lenses which opened up a new world of vision to him. Deep down inside, however, he continued to feel that natural vision improvement was possible even though educated eye doctors had told him otherwise.

As a college student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Alan learned about natural vision improvement in his spare time and began a program which led to little improvement. After graduation, he again made another stab at vision improvement with limited success. Finally, in 1997, he quit his job, shaved his head, and moved to Outer Mongolia to study natural vision improvement under the tutelage of The Ancient Masters. Okay, he didn't actually do that, but it sounded neat. Anyhow, in 1997, he received the Vision Freedom program as a gift from his wife, and Alan worked through the program for many months with noticeable results. In 1998, he began to study Liberman and Bates until he developed his own personal system for vision improvement.

He currently resides with his wife, children and drug-rehabilitated cat somewhere in North America.
