Crystal pulled a gun out from behind her back and said, "I'm making sure no one will ever get in the way of Zane and I being together"

Sam then saw Zane come in the door behind Crystal. Sam looked to see if Crystal had noticed his entrance But Crystal was too busy explaining that all Zane had been talking about was Sam. Sam noticed Zane looking around, Zane took a step toward the fireplace and tripped over a book someone had left on the floor. Startled Crystal turned and pointed the gun at Zane. Zane asked Crystal "Why are you doing this?" "For us" Crystal replied.

Angry Zane said, "There is no us." With that Crystal went to pull the trigger but Sam smashed a lamp over her head just in time. Seconds later Mike, Rudy and Ellie came in talking about how they just solved the case. Mike said "I was able to track the killer by her footprints. They were the came in the diner as they were from when she was in the police station." Rudy then said, "Yeah but I was the one who came to the conclusion she would come after your sister next." Sam cut in saying sarcastically "I'm so proud of you both but don't you think you could have figured this all out a little sooner like before Zane was almost killed."

Amongst all the commotion Sam hadn't noticed when the ambulance took Crystal away. Sam was startled when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned and saw Zane. Sam asked, "How did you know to come here?" "I came to explain that I knew you weren't the killer." Sam gave Zane a little kiss on the cheek and whispered "Thank you" in his ear. Confused Zane asked "What for I got you in this mess in the first place" Sam replied "For having faith in me and just being there." "I love you and I will always be here for you," Zane said.

Not sure what to say Sam said the only thing she could think of "I love you too, Zane." Surprised Zane asked, "Does this mean" but was cut off by Sam kissing him.
