In the diner, Sam and Zane are sitting planning their weekend. Zane says to Sam "My mom has to work the diner till closing on Saturday so my house will be completely empty," Zane raises his eyebrows, "What do you say?"

Just then two of their friends from school, Jacob and Elizabeth, appear beside them. "What's happening?" asks Jacob. "We're just thinking about catching a flick this weekend," Sam says looking over and seeing Zane's overly disappointed expression, "Want to join us?"

Elizabeth jumps at the opportunity and says, "Yes".

Sam and Zane both know Elizabeth would do anything to be around Jacob sort of the same as Zane would do anything to be around Sam. Jacob agrees to goas long as it isn't a chick flick. They go on discussing their options for the movie.

All of the sudden their attention is turned toward the counter where a man slam his fists on the counter saying, "Where's my food? I have been here for like an hour and now I'm going to be late and I still haven't gotten my food." Quickly Hazel gets the man his food and apologizes for the wait, but the man is determined to complain at her.

Sam notices the place is rather busy, and then figures it must be from all the tourists. As if realizing it at the same time Zane says "I've got to go help my mom out at least until it quiets down a little."

"Catch you later?" he says looking at Sam. "Whatever" she replies as if she doesn't care but really she'll probably just sit there until he's done.

Not long after Zane left Elizabeth and Jacob realize they need to go to. So with them gone Sam decides to watch Zane work taking orders and giving people food. It was fun to watch him give people the wrong orders and get all flustered. Knowing she was going to have to give him a hard time about it later.

Getting bored with watching Zane and also not wanting to get caught staring, Sam turns her attention to the people coming in and out of the restaurant. When she notices a girl about her age that she had never seen before, she figures probably another tourist. The girl had blonde hair and looked like one those cheerleader types. The girl walked over to the counter right near where Zane was standing about to hand someone his food. All of the sudden the plate of food hits the floor in a loud crash. Embarrassed Zane turned around and gave the cook the same order then went to clean up the mess. When Hazel said "It's quiet enough I can handle it from here. Thank you."

As he walked around the counter the blonde said "Hi how about you join me for dinner?" Before a second past Zane was sitting in the chair beside her. "My name's Crystal." she said.

"I'm Zane are you going to be in town for a while?" he asks. "Actually my family and I just moved here from Seattle. I start school here on Monday," she said. "Great" said Zane his face breaking out into a big smile.

From a distance Sam watches them talking getting more and more jealous then finally feeling invisible she goes home.
